As was said by the admin, he takes no notice of what he is told. He also send lots of private messages himself to other posters, then moans when called out on it.
Because the former is a violation of the rules of this BBS and has been dealt with in accordance with policy. The latter is two people giving their opinions with no rules broken. Site admin are just users of this forum who have kindly volunteered to help administer this BBS in their own time for no real benefit I can see other than a load of hassle. They're still allowed to use the forum like the rest of us. They're still allowed to give an opinion and they're still allowed not to like stuff even if it hasn't broken any rules. Things were dealt with correctly imho. By the sounds of it there were complaints about two different posts, both in the same thread. One was upheld and the offending post was removed. The other wasn't, the post stayed but a member of the forum gave their opinion on it who also happens to be a site administrator.
I was going to reply exactly on the lines of this but then I do think an admin referring to RAC’s complaints publicly is a bit wrong. I completely agree with everything else you said though.
I think one or two other posters have alluded to this without naming names. If anyone started PM'ing me without reason I would simply copy/paste the message on this board with my reply. Most that I want to contact me have other details
It's not a million miles from what you've started doing Chris. "I know something you don't know and I'll tell you if everyone likes me".
It really isn't a position of power, it's a pain in the arse for those that have to do it. I'm just thankful that they bother, even if I don't agree with everything they do. I don't know fired other than using this forum, but she's never struck me as someone who knowingly tells untruths.
You mean the admin that are on £10 K a year to look after this site (I know you do it for free but some are a bit deluded)
I sent Jay one private message which was not abusive. He publicly contacted admin straight away regarding this. Supertyke contacted me via a private message to apologise for his behaviour on here towards me over recent weeks. I sent 2 replies to this apology asking him to explain his behaviour. I then sent a third reply asking why he had publicly addressed admin.
The complaints I have made on here were in regards to LD Red. He’s been banned off the forum months and deservedly so.
The problem with the ignore button is threads end up making **** all sense at times. At least it means you don't have to see posts from attention seeking trolls though. Well until they start sending aggressive private messages to you anyway
It's a public forum....if I had an issue with another poster I would do it on the forum rather than in private by messaging.
1. Not Admin, me. Fired. Don't bring anyone else into it. 2. I am a member of this forum and am as entitled to my opinion as the next person. 3. If you are going to make provocative posts that cause admin members extra work unnecessarily, please don't then expect protection from Admin,. 4. If you are going to suggest that certain members of admin (me) have an agenda, just to suit your feeble ego, you are wrong. if you think it's real, take it up with @Gally
