Would anyone on here prefer it if I were to run a private twitter page tweeting out any information/rumours/links I hear about? Rather than posting them on the bbs.

That way I can keep my postings on here solely to discussing what I see on the pitch and I can’t be seen as acting to wind up forum members and admin.

If the interest is there it’s something I’ll look to set up.

I’d be up fir that Chris then at least only the people who are genuinely interested need follow therefore cutting out the page after page of questioning and abuse that usually follows currently

Without getting into the rights and wrongs of it all I'd say that sounds like a very sensible and pragmatic solution, Chris. It could even be a public twitter page but either way I think it'd defuse the situation if you were to separate the two in that way.

I think it would work better as a private group. I wouldn’t want none BFC fans following aswell as the obvious.

You can keep posting here for me dude. It's up to the folk who don't like your MO not to read or reply to the threads. Not sure why some get so bent out shape by it all.

Yeah same as above - up to you Chris.
I’ve no issue with it on here to be fair - but would happily join a private twitter group.

I don`t have twitter, and wouldn`t get it, for me I see nothing wrong with what you post on here. After all, It`s football discussion

I don't think the majority of people has anything against you posting the information you get(however you get it) on here. I mean, who doesn't like a bit of inside info?

It's the way you posted it(the emojis for example) that gets peoples back. It's almost like the old school playground crap when someone would go "I know something you don't know!" and the fishing for "likes". If you hear something that you think people will wan't to hear, the chances are the readers of the bbs will(in general) want to hear it.

As for the "like" fishing, and this is a genuine question by the way, what do you get out of receiving a load of likes on an internet forum from strangers?

I’m not sure how much longer it will last on here anyway.

As a side note the posts would be in the same format IE on the most part cryptic or daft little liking games. That is the style I like to post in so that would remain. I also don’t usually break a name until it’s out in atleast some area of the press. This would also remain the same.

    Thanks for your input.

    See post above.

As for the likes, it allows me to gauge the volume of interest in certain bits of information I might have. If people aren’t bothered about knowing who the performance analysis bloke is then I won’t waste my time on this type of thing.

It also allows me to see who is genuinely interested in seeing the post as in the grand scheme of things ‘liking’ a post is no effort whatsoever.

It is absolutely nothing to do with me enjoying seeing someone like my post.

But wouldn't the obvious way of doing that is to just post the information(or clue), sit back and wait and see how many people like, reply or just view the post? By asking for the likes, your skewing the results....

If someone is prepared to like the post it allows me to see which members are genuinely interested. It also takes away the PMs I get as people know they’re going to get an answer once the like target is met.

Count me in for it. Not that I mind them on here. Though some seem to.

Sounds good. Then someone else can go for the glory by posting the rumour on here.

Or why dont the people that dont like it have their own group on twitter to discuss football but absolutely no mention of transfer rumours or potential signings? It makes the site abit more interesting in my opinion. As a non twitter user its a shame if it goes that way, but me personally id just continue doing it who cares what people think

Seems a possible option. To be fair you seem to have inside knowledge. However, as far as I can see that knowledge falls into two categories.....that which the club is happy to be released and that which isn't.
If it's the former just announce it on here and kudos to you.
If it's the latter then keep quiet. Letting the cat partially out of the bag just winds everyone up and possibly endangers business the club are trying to get done.
That situation exists whether you do it on here or on twitter.

Ideally I’d like to keep posting on here. I don’t think it’s long until admin pull the plug on the whole thing though. The other night an admin member received a high enough volume of complaints about my ‘20 like’ thread that it ruined her family meal. That’s not what I’m about and it’s not good for anybody.

I won’t change my style of posting whether it be on here or on twitter. I appreciate some people don’t like it but that’s just the way it is. If people on twitter don’t like it they can leave or be removed from the group without missing out on other football related chat you get on here.

Even if it had only 10 followers atleast they’d be the type who didn’t get annoyed by cryptic posting.

I honestly don’t know what you are on about or why you want to play childish games.
If you have anything to say then just foooking say it.
Everyone on here appreciates the info that you bring to the table.
But most on here are grown ups (I hope) that don’t like the ‘I know something you don’t know - followed by silly emojis’.
    How old are you?
I’d guess that you can’t be more than 14.
