Like I say, the minute you start a thread with the likes of "If I get 20 Likes I'll..." you fudge the idea of it. Many people will open the thread just to see the fallout after the fist "likesGate", and then see the post and think, "why not?" and click the like button. Simply post what you have to post, and you will see how many people are appreciative of the information. Personally, I was interested in the identity of the data analyst. But the minute the childish "like for information" stuff started I just zoned out and though, "whatever." I mentioned this during the last "LikesGate", but I write for many genre specific film magazines and websites, so get some decent insider info that production companies want leaking. If I demanded "likes" or retweets for that info, my readers would basically sack me off and I would loose all respectability...
My style of posting isn’t going to change. I just wondered if people would be interested in a twitter page.
You don't have to change the way you post, that isn't the issue. It's the putting the info you obviously like leaking behind a sort of like paywall. Just post the information. Do it in the form of emojis if it makes you feel better, but just post it without acting like a kid... P.S. This looks a bit like a "teddys out of the pram" flounce....
It’s up to you at the end of the day but personally I don’t do Twitter or anything , Maybe face book on rare occasions . And I’m sure there’s quite a few more others that only do bbs for their BFC fix. Cant see why you’d let a minority chase you off the bbs tbh if they do t like what your posting I say stuff em they don’t have to read the threads as long as it’s not offensive which they’re not .
I’ve tried this but certain posters simply cannot resist reading and posting on my threads. Admin have said I bring it on myself so I’m fighting a losing battle.
On here is fine with me - never take out on here personally - it's a footy site - full of diverse people and opinions
Don't take this the wrong way Chris but are you going through a midlife crisis? At 38 years of age your giving all this far too much thought. I literally only read your posts and threads on here for the entertainment value. I spend most of my time on Twitter and I have a few bfc fans who follow me. If I ever find any info out I tweet it straight away and I can tell you now the bfc fans on Twitter probably won't appreciate the cryptic **** and the Emojis anymore than folk do on here.
That’s the beauty of it. The people who don’t enjoy the style can unfollow and won’t be able to view the content. It’s win win really.
