...because his football team is only 6th in the league. Get a grip, man. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0602z8v
Poor little diddums did the nasty football team that had no right to beat you go and win. Thats now fwair at all why dont you suck on your dummy for a bit and it will all be alright FFS some people have no sense of perspective or appreciation of the world - or even other football fans
Exactly, I mean it's not like his team has suffered a serious injustice, like being overlooked for promotion in favour of a team that finished 3 places lower the previous season for example.
A lot of Arsenal fans are embarrassing, they’ve been spoilt rotten with success, had no right to win as much as they did under Wenger when other sides outspent them. This is the first season where they’ve genuinely underachieved & even then they made a cup final & can save it by winning the Europa League. Hard to have sympathy with any fan base who’s teams won the FA cup for the last two seasons
Never forget! Seriously, I'd like to know what the Barnsley representative said to the meeting before he stalked out. Must have been something ripe for them to have a downer on us for nigh on 100 years.
There were some proper tools on the radio yesterday. It sounded like some of them had been 'supporting' Arsenal for about three years despite being adults. And on line two we have Tony the Arsenal fan calling from Nottingham.
Jesus Christ on a bike... I wonder how that chuff would survive as a Barnsley fan. But that's why I prefer to be a Barnsley follower than a plastic fan of the so called Prem Big Boys. Yes we do have a moan and a hissy now and again, that's natural. But over my 57 years of supporting Barnsley I would not change a dammed thing. Even administration too, that may sound a bit bizarre but think about it. Over those years I have had the roller coaster of emotions from the deepest despair to the highest of highs. Sadly the so called big time charlies have not had nearly close to that kind of existence. Went through relegation and promotion a good few times... the we had the totally magical moment when Clint Marcelle sealed our passage to the premier league. Ok we did not survive, but after that we took down Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelski in the FA cup And I was honoured to have been there for all of them... we have been to Old Wembley once new Wembley 3 times and the Millenium stadium in Cardiff... its sometimes hard being a 'Tarn fan... but its always wonderful too.
Good post, it's their sense of entitlement that rankles with me. They were spoilt for a decade, have still won the FA Cup during their leaner years. Same with Liverpool after the Dalglish era, Manchester United after Ferguson and so on. Football clubs and some, though not all, supporters of those clubs have forgotten what reality is like. Our lows mean that when our success at Barnsley comes along, albeit fleeting in nature, it seems to mean so much more to us.
they have been spoilt for well over a decade... we lost the toss between them and us decades ago for league status.... And no I am not bitter about that at all , in fact I may even be glad they won the vote over us.. as we are now a much more honest, virtuous and deserving team in all our ventures... If we do go down I will be upset, but will never ever desert Barnsley FC... I will still have the odd rant OFC... but will never want it any different . "teams Like Barnsley" eh? its called love... and not expectation.... and there lies the huge difference between proper supporters and the PLASTICS!!
It wasn't a toss, the fa handed them the place because of services to the war effort while the people of Barnsley presumably cheered on the germans
FFS this is unbelievable. Are you serious? The reasoning was because they made a greater effort during the war. What a slap in the face to all good Barnsley people. WOW!
I **** you not. We finished 3rd, arsenal finished 6th I think and they were voted in because of their war efforts and for being an old southern club. The fa board liked the fact they were southern
