How are there still 1 million uninsured drivers filling UK roads? 4% of all cars uninsured apparently

If insurance is registered to the vehicle, then the cameras are useless.

Exactly that my dad had some young lad who was driving his grandad car that he wasn't insured on hit him. It was a right carry on to get it sorted. Luckily my dad's insurance got the car sorted straight away but the claim itself dragged on for months.

    Only 4%?
I was involved in an accident some years ago. One lad had taken his Mother’s car without asking and he was killed (uninsured) one man suffered serious injury (uninsured). 2 Gypo’s in a flat back truck which was neither insured, MOT’d, or taxed, and me. From my experience that’s 80% uninsured.

A few years ago I did some work for the MIB. They process and pay out claims for those hit by uninsured drivers.

You’d be surprised how many cars were actually under the surface not insured.
