    Another great comedian gone. Suffered a series of strokes in recent years.
    He compered a Show we attended as a family during a week at Butlins Skegness, when my kids were little. Got a guy from Sunderland up on stage and was pulling his leg. Said to him, " I bet this will all be new to you, Carpets and Curtains". The lad took it all in good part. Top of the bill was Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog. The little kids present has a great time.
    Also saw the late Roy " Spook Spook" Jay and the Grumbleweeds that same week.

    RIP Jim Bowen.

    Saw Jim Bowen at a show in Blackpool when I was about 20. Never laughed as much. Told some brilliant anecdotes about Bullseye.
