But J.M as been here a month. He took over a struggling team lacking in ideas and confidence and some want us to be Man.City over night. The change of formation since he took over saw a second half onslaught against Burton,a very welcome 4 points against Birmingham and Hull,2 close run games against very strong top 6 opponents and a draw against Norwich who had 1 shot as I recall.I was a big Hecky fan but under him I saw nothing but relegation.J.M's mandate is to keep us up and I think he will achieve his target but please give him some slack. You can't make a purse out of a sows ear over night.
I’d settle for us being Bolton at this stage. 5 points from your opening 6 games is not great however you spin it.
It's not at all, but given that he took charge of a squad that had been quite frankly woeful for months, the reasons a mix of squad ability and coaching this season - not playing the blame game, just observing - then it's a huge task to turn us round - the issues are far deeper than just pure motivation and organisation. Not saying the new bloke is going to get us promoted or owt daft, but let's consider what he's took charge of.
He took over a side with a worsening record and the lack of confidence that goes with that. We have won 3 home games in 14 months. This isn’t a problem of José’s making....
Agree with the sentiment of your post but there was nothing close about the Cardiff and Boro games. We were pretty poor throughout both, especially the latter.
