Someone who I know who is well connected at Leeds told me that Heckingbottom was facing the sack if they lost to Bolton. Given the result on Saturday against Sunderland and a defeat against Fulham followed the Bolton game it is conceivable that he is fired before the season is out.
I'm sure he knew the risks associated with going to Leeds but I'd expect that the severance package will soften the blow considerably.
As much as folk seem to have this vendetta about Hecky I think he’ll be there next season and they’ll be challenging too . Save this post till next April/May .
Mate the club have got form . He'll either be sacked this season or early doors next season . He's the emperor's new clothes.
Can’t stand the bloke. His arrogant smug face, thought he was too good for us. But on a end note we all should really stop mentioning him.
I seem to be in the minority but I don’t share the same animosity against PH as most on this thread. Not saying I like to see Leeds succeed.
Lifelong Barnsley fan. Did his best for the club. Saw the inevitable coming and took steps to secure his family's future the best way he saw fit. Gets villified for it. I wasn't one of the ones proclaiming him as Lord God Almighty but it's sickening to see the usual character assassination of anyone who dares leave the club especially to a local rival.
It would be a day to remember if we could secure safety in the championship this season at Elland road in what could be Heckys last game for them.
Obviously didn't back himself to keep us up, and didn't want relegation on his CV. Fair enough really, I wouldn't have backed myself to keep us up in that situation either. Any other season we'd be as good as down by now, just there's a lot of very bad teams this season. It's been a very strange one. We may well stay up with just ten wins.
