2-0 If we don't win we don't deserve to stay up its as simple as that. We need to beat Bolton and get something from leeds away.
Our record against them is terrible. They are one of our biggest bogey teams. They tonked us at their ground, but luckily no longer have Medine. Twenty years on it's still a mystery how we didn't win at Reebok in our premier league boxing day game that we dominated. Likely to be a draw, but above them after our game in hand.
I've a really bad feeling about this game. Mainly because we have expectation to win, and history tells us when we expect, we rarely come out on top. We may be getting a little more positive, and we're having more chances, but there are big question marks about our style. We don't apply enough pressure on teams, and we're incredibly static in defence and attack. And with 2 wide players gripping the touchline, aerial balls to Moore mean he's a huge amount to do, or Moncur (or other) need to be well advanced to give him support. My head says we do well, get frustrated, and a lapse in concentration sees us lose 1-0. My heart begs we get a good win, a clean sheet and see a demoralised Bolton fold and prove no further threat for the remaining fixtures. I'd try and start with Bradshaw and Hammill. I'm not sure how we'd get Bradshaw in the side, but his energy was a huge help in getting over the line against the blunts.
Have you forgotten that we beat them at home in the Premier League season. 2-1 midweek with Georgi Hristov leaping like a salmon to score at the away end. We also knocked them out of the cup.
3-1 with more than a few squeaky moments at the back. In fact they’ll get a pen, but the Wheelie Bin will stretch out a lid and save it.
