So, now that they have lost that one...I reckon Brum will only get one more point

Sheff Utd home next week, QPR away and then Fulham at home.

I predict a draw with the Blunts and nothing from the other two, so we only need three points to overhaul them from our four games.

Similarly, Bolton can be caught. I will give them three points from Wolves (H), Burton (A) and Forest (H). That would mean us needing five, but it's possible.

I'm assuming Sunderland and Burton are down of course :)

We are going to have to win one of these next two away games. It feels unlikely.

It's possible though so that's all we can hang on to - a possibility.

It wouldn't be Barnsley if everything were certain :)

If the OP is right and Birmingham only get one more point, we don't need to win any of our remaining games, just draw them.

I reckon one point from QPR, won’t get anything from the other two.

I love your optimism POR I’m fully behind your positive views.....negativity plays no part in this day and age

Let's hope Jose doesn't work that one out. If we start playing for draws we'll go down for certain.

I wouldn't write off a win at Leeds next Saturday. Fair games with them. Best team on day usually wins. I always fancy us there.

Thanks JR. I've been following this team for too long to get down about the odd relegation here and there. I expect it, in the same way that I expect us to go back up again soon after.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we do survive this season but not devastated if we don't. Too many on here (and near where I sit) are too quick to rip into our players for making mistakes. They are obviously perfect in their lives and never get anything wrong. I'll criticise where it is warranted but that doesn't stop me going back to see them put it right next time.

I hope you're right. A win and a couple of draws and I think we'll be okay. Leeds is possible, Forest is possible (particularly if we take a stand full of support and their players are on the beach.)

It isn't over, I guess, but I was very pessimistic last night after we ballsed it up again from a winning position.

Of the next 4 games, I feel we'll win 1(to keep Jose 20% win rate in tact)
    Draw 1... And lose 2...
That will be 4 more points, so a 42 point finish.
Will that be enough... All depends on the others.

Hope we can take it into last weekend of season at least. Was hoping Brentford might be out of the playoff picture when we play them but it looks like they could still be in with a shout and against Fulham yesterday they looked a class above us .

We've won two in twenty odd games. We've somehow got to win two in four. It's highly unlikely with our unfit squad that lacks the talent.

No we haven't. As things stand we need to win 1. Or draw 2

But that's assuming other clubs don't pick up any more points.

It is indeed. And in Birmingham's case, its a reasonable assumption. And therefore, until events prove me wrong, its an assumption I am sticking to. Its all I've got.

A win AND a draw would give us a good chance I think. Though it would be a very unpleasant final day.
