That excuse for a. Score board is an absolute joke. First time I had seen it, had to look hard for it. It represents the whole ambition of Barnsley FC Sub standard
Much as I tend to fight the corner of the old regime.....the scoreboard is more embarrassing than the one it replaced. Either do it right or don't bother.
'Kin hell, Homer. You're scraping barrel for criticism now. Scoreboard's been lambasted to hell and back. It tells you how long's left, it even reminds you of the score, in case you've forgot. Sadly, it does not display Dickinsons Real Deal or Bargain Hunt for when you lose interest in the on field entertainment. It does it's job. Middlesbrough away, other week, their screen does instant goal replays, so they score, everyone cheers, briefly, then turns to the screen for the replay. Kills it. Simple is beautiful.

Bit late replying being busy The point of the score board is that the size of it is terrible Either put a decent board up of forget about These days clubs are more into income and keeping in touch media wise I do not need three channels on it but come on lads it is crap
Is that not deliberate though. To stop the players looking at the time and switching off. May explain why our players are done by 70mins.
Does it really matter ? If everything on the pitch was going well , nobody would give a monkey about the scoreboard but because we struggling it appears to be open season on everything BFC at the moment
Not intended as open season, just observation on how we always tend to think small at little old Barnsley Over the years we have always being held back being a selling club. Patrick Cryne was the only genuine guy I have seen over the years that thought something of the club Unfortunately his wealth was limited but he gave it a go. With that like bit extra thought we would not have lost our team in Jan but we did and we are paying the price. Next season will see just who we have as owners and Manager when everything is back on table
I think the clock should be changed to a progress bar as on a PC. it would be non-linear, so it moved too slowly, lagging behind real time so that when it indicated 70 minutes it was actually 89 minutes. That way, the players wouldn't realise it was time to pull or tweak something, to get out of breath or get cramp. Then the progress bar would move from 70 to 90 minutes in a flash, leaving just injury time to hold out with tired legs.
Slight exaggeration there. The players and coaching staff are giving their all at the moment to stay up. They may fall short but they're showing a lot more ambition than any scoreboard ever could.
I don't think it's deliberate. It seems to be broken in some way. For the last few games the time played has appeared and disappeared totally at random. Gone for 20 minutes then reappears for 20. It seems to me that as well as the board itself being unfit for purpose the software that runs it also seems to be unstable. I wonder whether we still pay an outside company to run it for us each game too
I wasn't until Last Sat and watching that match was enough to make nearly everyone at Oakwell miserable
Last Saturday? Miserable??!! I take it you weren't at the Millwall match sat knocking heaps of snow off your knees while we got bashed by our not so local, not so friendly rivals. That, my friend, was miserable.
