I think you`re right - I just thought he might be the right fit for us.

Davies signed a new contract (presumably) on championship wages not so long back.

I think we all agree he’s had a shocking year, not been the same ever since the Winnall goal against Wednesday. So after over 12 months of bad form who is going to take him on in his current wages? I can’t see it been a championship club & I don’t see other league one clubs having the budget to sign him so I think we’re stuck with him

Gauthier stated that the players have relegation clauses in their contracts.

Would this be a good side and formation for league 1

    343 like England

    Walton

    Pearson Pinnock Jackson

    Cavare Potts Mcgheehan Fryers

    Thiam Moore Hedges

Obvious ones not mentioned will leave, I think that team has height, power, some skill and pace and could suit league 1 and wouldn't need a DCM.

I don't think we'll lose anybody under contract unless we want to. No point getting rid of Bradshaw when it'll cost as much to replace him, and I don't think he's good enough to force a move.

I think that formation or 3-5-2 would work.

I expect McCarthy at right back with Pearson understudy. Lindsey in centre back. I know a minority don’t rate him but personally think in a couple of years he will be another Mawson, or Robbo at the very least.

I’d have Moncur or Mallan playing a number 10 role behind Bradshaw and Moore. Drop Hedges and Thiam.

Central midfield. Who knows. Two from McGeehan, Knasmullner or Potts. I would probably look to offload Mowatt and loan out Bird. If we could sign a really good box to box central midfield to partner one of the others we would be so much stronger.

Fryers and Pearson aren't good enough for non league!

well. They are. Pearson was one of the best defenders in L2, and stepped up ok given the gulf in class to the championship. But don’t let that stop you.

Think you’re mistaking the championship with non league.

Sweet Jesus of Nazareth. We're looking at back to back relegations if this is our side. Best centre half isn't involved, offering a guy on the wing who provides no goals or assists a new deal and a guy who takes 5 chances to score once as our number 9. Superb.

We've been relegated to league one not the National League North

    We certainly need to strengthen.

Goalkeeper, holding midfield and pace up front are the issues.

New manager needs to clean a few out, but there is a basis of a L1 team, once issues are addressed IMO.

Bradshaw only has one year left on his contract though. Unless we want to sell him in Jan when there's a promotion push, it would be better to sell him and replace him in the summer window.

I suppose it depends upon how much they think they can get for him. At around £750k I think the owners would simply eat the loss, rather than gambling on being able to get a like-for-like replacement.

I’ve been told today from an incredibly reliable source that Knasmüllner is more than likely going back to the Austrian Bundesliga this summer. It’s a shame as I had high hopes given his record from midfield but unfortunately the English game is completely different to the Austrian Bundesliga and it simply didn’t work out. Well worth the £400k initial outlay as I’m sure we’ll recoup the same.

Why ???? I know folk that watch the stiffs and they reckon he’s miles away from a first team squad , and judging by the fact he still hasn’t made a breakthrough I’d suggest the coaches don’t think he’s ready either . Plenty of wishful thinking but if he’s not ready or not good enough then that’s exactly it !

And Davies won’t be on huge wages either , we don’t pay championship wages hence the reason why we’re not competitive at that level . I’d be amazed if he’s on more than £3/4K a week !

    Walton
    Mccarthy Pinnock Lindsay/Jackson New LB
Isgrove Potts/Mallan/Mcgeehan New CM New Winger
    Moore Bradshaw

Pearson, a couple of the spare midfielders, Victor, Hedges and Pinillos on the bench. Maybe keep Cavare, Knas and Thiam, I don't know on them!
