Is that really the best he can do? Maybe he just really wants a move back down south.

Id say thats about his level.... Was a really good player for us but i think he was made to look alot better due to how poor the rest of the team was.

Good. That’s them conceding some soft goals down the flank when he fails to track a player or gets caught ball watching.

Yeah he's not that good. Like you say he was good compared to the ***** beside him. Played his part more than most in our relegation and lack of clean sheets, as one of our most regular performers of the season.

It's like people who rave about Mawson when he's played every minute of ever league game for a relegated side.

Agree.. Reading, QPR or Brentford... no better than that.. I saw the other day we're Hecky wanted him... but Leeds wouldn't sign him...

Not surprised really, he’s not been the same player this season. A lot of that might be down to not having a proper pre-season last summer with the shoulder injury

Good luck to him. He’s a very good championship player.

Surprised Reading is his choice, but I guess it’s all down to coin. If I was them I would ensure he is signed to a decent contract as he seems to run his contract down. The cynic in me would say that would maximise any potential signing on fee for him and his advisors... whoever advised him to do that Sky sports interview.

One of our few players who could cut it in the Championship, had a good season in 16/17 but deteriorated last season due in part to having poorer quality players around him. Still got his head down and saw the season though with us so fair play and good luck to him wherever he ends up.

It's a team game, it's often harder to look good if you are surrounded with rubbish players. If there are more options when you've got the ball because your team mates know how to find space or you are confident they are in the right positions when you are defending or go forward, it totally changes scenario. Even more so in prem for likes of Mawson playing against movement of world class strikers and midfielders who can play defence splitting passes. Yiadom was clearly a BFC player who had quality to play in championship unlike many of his team mates.

Gotta say it is his level as most others have said. He's a good player at Championship level but no better than a bottom half team. Been linked with QPR, Leeds and now Reading which as said, is his level. If any of those are pushing for a top six position next season, I can't see him being a regular.

He wouldn't have got nowhere near the team if he went to Swansea or Huddersfield last summer / January.

Good luck to the lad though. Worked his balls off for us.

    Yes, good luck to him.
Question.... I wonder if he might have stayed with us had we avoided relegation cos to go to Reading who, in fairness, only just avoided the melee at the end.

We were a stronger side with him in it, his attitude was spot on & he was surrounded by numpties for most of last season.
Proper player & we will miss him, if folk think he wasn't very good this season & not one of the best in the team, we must have had some reight players & i'm surprised we didn't mek the play offs....

We seemed to stay out of the relegation places with McCarthy at right back and then when he was dropped......
