Maybe - Reading is definitely a step down from where he was aiming last summer - didnt he agree terms with Huddersfield only to fail the medical due to his shoulder last summer - so instead of a relegation scrap in the prem he had one in the championship.
I think he is a better player than some on here are saying but this last season has certainly cost him if the likes of Reading are the best he can do now

Just proves that players are right to move when they can as an ill timed injury can really hurt your career

Championship is his level at the moment. I don't think he is good enough defensively to play higher.
I suppose if he wants a move back down South Reading would be one of the teams to look at if he wants regular first team football.

Proper attitude? what the one when he came out on sky tv begging for a move? Granted he’s got his head down since but he’s had to - otherwise he wouldn’t have ended up getting a decent contract offer.

No need to be so dramatic, nobody is saying he's ****.... He was one of our best players no doubt about it. Without him last season we would have been even worse, he's a mid to lower championship player hence why he stood out in our team

Good luck to him. His first season was very good, had heart and never stopped trying. For whatever reason, last season he just wasn't that same player and I think after "that interview" . No doubt there were times he tried, but there were others he just didn't track as hard and let runners go. One of our better players in a woeful season, a season that really didn't deserve a player of the year.

Hope he does well, and I look forward to see who he joins after he runs his contract down in 2-3 years time.

    Brilliant.

We also stayed out of the relegation places for the entirety of the 2016/2017 season with Yiadom occupying various positions throughout the campaign including at right back.

Can’t stand this Yiadom bashing, it’s ridiculous considering how good he actually is.

    Scapegoated massively this season.

He has done no diffrent to what Marley watkins did but Marley told the club he wanted a move and put a transfer request in. He was then told no one else is going. So told all the fans he had his head turned by premiership interest and how he enjoys it here.... 6months later goes to championship Norwich.

Totally agree. Still unsure why we gave him the captains armband either. Never came across like a leader of the team.

Did Adam Davies or Angus come across as leaders though? Only one captain in that squad who was on our books Adam hammill bit he got over looked by both head coaches.

Angus did in a John Terry way of wanting to show he was hard.

He was a upper championship player with premier league suitors until we allowed half of our team to leave and diluted the quality.

Not sure Readings the right move for him, unless they have plans to bring in some quality to play along side him.

I think he would shine in a decent team that are on his wavelength.

An indication of how much say Hecky has with signings at Leeds. He seems to have been over-ruled with this one.
