So after selecting every available fullback in the Premier League to be in the squad for Russia, Sol expects Gareth's team to have er none, and he's going with the old tried and trusted 3-2-3-2 setup....

in other news Diego Maradona is now chairman of Dinamo Brest

    Isn’t Walker a full back?

All I've heard on Talksport this alst week is how he's now a central defender in a back 3, and that's the way Southgate is going.

It's like summat you'd play on FIFA when you're losing 5-0. Bonkers. Get him in at Oakwell.

Watched him talk about the England squad on Sky Sports News & it was painful to listen to. They’d got him on talking about Pope, Alexander-Arnold & a few others who aren’t that experienced & it sounded like he’d never seen them play & was making it up as he went along.

If he’s still trying to get himself a managers job I’d suggest keeping him off tv as he’s not doing himself any favours

He's played at centre half the last couple of games for England, and it looks likely that Southgate will have him there in a back 3. It's handy to have as we can change formation if needs be, and not waste a substitution.

It’s barmy, we take away his biggest assets which are his pace, athleticism & making overlapping runs & put him as a centre back. The first decent team we come up against will be rubbing their hands together at the thought of playing against him at centre back

I've no idea about what the England line up may or should be. I applaud him though for going for a young & hungry squad.
If he does really well at the World Cup, I think he'll make a great assistant to Mourinho at Oakwell next season.
