It’ll be Reading. Fair play but a poor move in my opinion; he’s better than that. Bet the wages are good though…

Thanks for everything Yids, you deserve to be a Championship player and I don't blame you at all for moving on for more money and opportunities.

So a decent player actually sticks it out with us for once, moves on when we expect him to (he was never going to stay if we went down) thanks everyone at the club including the fans, the office staff and the late great Patrick Cryne, and all you can say is "good riddance"?

I don't know what some people want/expect in situations like this.

Fair play.... We took him from a lower club, offered him more in wages he's honoured his contract and he moves on. No hard feelings here.

Am I reading too much into the sentence "a special thank you to Patrick Cryne who first spotted me"?
Don't we have have club staff employed to do that sort of thing.... or is this the spreadsheet talking?
Or am I doing him a disservice?

I think he's just being respectful, I don't think that he actually means Patrick was the one to first bring up his name as a signing (although he may of course mean that).

Fair play. Andy is a young ambitious player. He's been great for us.

Good luck to the lad. Has seen so many quality players leave and the resulting relegation. Gave his all until the end.

This is an example of where the 'spreadsheet' rumours don't ring true. I know that before Yids signed he sat through a presentation from Hecky where he showed him how he would fit in to the team, where his strengths would help the formation and style, and what weaknesses he had that would be developed/worked on if he signed for us. Patrick was in this meeting.

Yids was really engaged and got involved in the presentation, highlighting what else he could do for the team and what he'd need to work on himself if he was to sign. Patrick became a big fan of his from that day.

So I'm guessing this is just a mark of respect mentioning him.

Good luck to him. More coin. Higher league.

A very good player at championship level.

Good luck to Yiadom. He had a blinding first season and really should have made us a couple of million at least. He's knuckled down this season and played his part in a struggling side, keeping his standards above most despite not hitting the heights of the previous year. Let's remember it's a team game and there's little wonder he looked poorer this year playing with inferior players. He still gave 100% and has left with dignity in my opinion. His angry reactions to goals going in our net proved to me that he had professional pride and that's what matters to me. I'm surprised he's ended up at Reading, partly as I think he's a better player than that but also Reading are a very average side who could have gone down yet would have been able to take our best full back quite easily even if we'd stayed up. That's a bit galling but never mind. Chance for McCarthy or someone new to step up.

Only done to us exactly what he did to Barnet by joining us. Ran his contract down to earn more money at a higher level. Least it's not Leeds but it was never going to be.
