Someone who I personally think could be in with a shout, Paul Tisdale of Exeter City. They're owned by their fans and currently he is working his notice period, whether that changes depending on the play off result who knows. But if you look at the job he's done there it's quite brilliant. Competition football by using no money, he's brought through the young lads from the academy and used them, which the club have had to sell on, but for a league 2 side they have made I believe 3-5 million off 5 academy graduates in the past 5 years. I think he could do a job and certainly fits the bill of managing on a budget if that's the way the owners are going to go about it. Young and determined manager and you can't question the guys loyalty, over 10 years in at Exeter!
The only problem with this waiting for playoffs theory is surely if we had stayed up they wouldn’t have looked at these guys. Not saying there not up to it just find hard to see the board would have gone down that route.
I agree, but we didn't stay up, so to be honest I know GG has come out and said they had plans for championship and league 1 but the league 1 plan will have changed massively already in my opinion. You can say you want x, y, z of manager in league 1 but do they want a job in league 1, I think you've got to keep all options open especially with the last appointment the way it came about..
He’s off to MK Dons and I’d rather we looked at people a bit higher up the ladder . It’s hard enough to recruit players as it is and part of that is having an appealing manager/head coach .
