    Russia v. SArabia .
    Pre match build up ...
    Putin to Assad ...
I have helped your defence it is time for your defence to help me .
    A 4 - 0 or 5 - 0 will do but maybe we will let you have one .

I fear that it will become the VAR Cup .
Linesman told not to flag for close offside decisions , VAR to change referee decisions during the game whereas in the past "once the referee had restarted play a decision could not be overturned" .

Might as play it as a computer game .

A lot more decisions will be correct with VAR than without it.

Some people can never accept change or improvement.

Yes I do, as it happens.

It's still in its infancy and needs work, but it will get there. I certainly don't think it will ruin the world cup or football.

The reason why they have been told not to flag for very close offsides is because they can bring it back with VAR and give the correct call either way. If they flag for offside and he was on they can’t overturn the decision. This is only for very close calls only and not just offsides in general.
