I have said from day one that if you put Messi in the premier league he would struggle.

People go on about him like he has some kind of super powers?

He's a phenomenal player in a good team. This Argentina side are far from being a good side.

I'm not saying that he is ****... far from it.

But people go on and on about Messi saying he's a one man team and he's superman or something

Don't know if that is sarcasm but Ronaldo is definitely the world's best

But how does that translate to him struggling in the premiership?

    Yep, they’ve been very disappointing.

Croatia, on the other hand, have been superb so far and could go far this time. Modric is pure class.

Disgusting of Lawrenson all upset for them on commentary when he should have been enjoying the moment. Another major tournament for his country that Messi has failed in. I bet Ronaldo wish he was surrounded by players like Aguero. What a dirty side too. Great to see them struggling. Lionel will soon be on his jollys before he gets back to being supplied hundreds of chances against teams like Leganes.

What I am saying is... they say Messi is the world's best.

    I disagree strongly.

Ronaldo has played in Portugal (including the national team), England and Spain & set all those leagues on fire.

Messi on the other hand... he's only good for Barcelona

I don't watch la liga so don't really see what Messi does for Barcelona. When I see him on the international stage he does nothing, to the point where he looks like the weak link in the side, too small, weak, little skill and no impact whatsoever.
I understand why people don't like Ronaldo, he dives and he's got an attitude and one of those faces you just want to slap, but he's a brilliant. There isn't a comparison between the two players. Messi isn't in the same league, he's not even playing the same game.

Poor world cup for Messi. Still rate him above Ronaldo though.

Current form Ronaldo is worlds best as much as it pains me to say.

Messi is still my favourite and I still think overall Messi is better than Ronaldo. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live twice for Barca and he’s a million times better in a decent side where he has players that can actually get the ball to him and that actually make runs for him to pass to

Scored 7 in 10 qualifying games for this world cup
9 in 10 friendlies since the last World cup
5 in 5 at the copa america
4 in 7 at the last World cup

64 goals and 43 assists for Argentina

Ronaldo: 1 goal every 1.8 International games, 1 assist every 4.2
Messi: 1 goal every 1.9 International games, 1 assist every 2.9

Not much in it in terms of goals but Messi statistically offers far more to Argentina in terms of assists.

Not winning anything because the players you're playing with are poor doesn't make you a bad player

Messi only comes alive when the opposition has had a man sent off. Which happens regular in la liga.
