The club in advanced talks with millwall if true 850k is a joke when Marc mcnulty has gone from Coventry to reading for 1.5million. Same old.
McNulty looked a very good player from what I saw of him last season. Very confident and good on the ball.
If it's no smoke without fire we've signed a guy off Union Berlin, Adam Hammill has joined Jacob Burns at Perth and our new head coach is going to be the heavily odds on Grant McCann. Plenty that's reported doesn't happen. After how their fans behaved towards ours, at a game he was involved in, I would be disapointed if he left us for them. We shall see. I would think if a deal with anyone was close, we wouldn't be silly enough to play him tonight.
You might be right I just think in comparison Bradshaw scored 10 championship goals up top on his own with no service half a season is a proven goalscorer in league one goes for less than 1million. Mcnulty has a good season in league 2 and goes for 1.5 million When rotherham went down the season before they got 2million for danny ward. Who will we replace Bradshaw with for less than a million? Who will score goals in league 1
How can you score goals with no service? Bradshaw doesn't create chances for himself, he scores from close range. He could have had double that if he took all his chances. We'll replace him because that's what we do. There could be someone already at the club that will step into the breach.
I'll rephrase that he had very little service. A show of intent would be to keep a striker who last time in league 1 scored over 20 goals. We would get the figure talked about in january.
I agree, but if he and his agent get the sniff of championship wages he'll want to be off. It'll be as much to do with him and his agent as it will our owners.
He’s on championship wages. Fairly decent ones. Would be surprised if Millwall offered him “head turning” wages over and above what he is on. It isn’t like Bree going from 1.5k a week to £15k or Connor going from 5k to £28k. He may be offered a small increase. Imagine if a deal was close to being acceptable he wouldn’t have started the last two friendlies, and the fact he’s scored a few goals isn’t going to make his price go down. Unless an offer around £2m comes in I think he will be staying.
What I'd like to see is a statement of intent about bouncing straight back up next season from the new owners. By keeping our best striker.. and maybe except a loss next summer. Or even better give him a new deal. Come on Bfc make the clubs intentions clear...it's up to you... But poeple are watching..
Gauthier Ganaye said last month the club is aiming for immediate promotion. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2018/june/gg-interview/
