4 of the best 5 players on the pitch were Croatian. How you can say we’ve got far better players is beyond me.

They’ve got central midfielders who start every week for Barca & Real. We’ve not got a player who’d get a game for either of them never mind get a regular game in central midfield.

Modric is in the top 3 or 4 players in the world.
One or two other Croatia players were good.
None of the others would have got in the England B team.

We were all over them in the first 30 minutes or so but certain forward players underperformed.
Lingard, Sterling and Alli did absolutely nothing - they missed easy opportunities to score which they would have easily taken if playing for their club.
Why - because they can’t hack it - they are mentally weak.

 

Modric & Rakitic are world class.

Mandzukic & Perisic are pretty close to that standard as well.

Only Kane from England’s team is at that level.

You’ve just contradicted yourself. You’ve said apart from 2 or 3 none of the other Croatia players would even make an England B side but then said that our players aren’t up to it as they’re mentally weak yet the Croatian’s are up to it as they’ve won 2 penalty shootouts, had to come from behind in games, beaten England, beaten Argentina etc.

Question for you, which 1 or 2 out of Rakitic, Mandzukic & Perisic wouldn’t make an England B team?

 

Perisic = Juventus

Modric = Real Madrid, arguably the best midfielder in the world

Mandzukic = Juventus, Champions league winner

Rakitic = Barcelona

Lovren = Liverpool, Champions league finalist

Strinic = AC Milan

They're off the top of my head. Croatia are a top side who we tried our best against, but we were undone by their pressing and experience. I think on another day we could have won but I don't think we underperformed, they were just better and cleverer than us on the day. Their team have had years together, especially the guys listed above. Our lads have shown a lot of promise and are the first England side to get that far in my lifetime. I'm proud of them and optimistic for the future of the national team.

 

That's how it always works with these people! England are obviously crap according to them, but they've still got the best players in the world, and should beat any opposition without too much trouble. And surprisingly they're still crap when they do...

Lovren’s another one, he’s a quality defender. He was made to look a bit daft at Liverpool for a spell because it was all out attack under Klopp but at Southampton, at Liverpool since Van Dijk joined & always for Croatia he’s been top class.

 

I've seen his hair, for once he'd be right.

It's got to the point with certain posters that they've actually become caricatures of themselves and have to feed their own self image. They reach the point where anything they say is just too daft to laugh at and doesn't even generate any serious reaction.
