Or maybe I just watched him over the previous 3 seasons and concluded that he wasn’t very good at scoring goals
I would argue to Nixon that if people are offering around 200k more than we paid for him, even though he's now had two years of championship football and a taste of international football, people aren't trying hard at all to get him off us.
I’d agree, but we don’t actually know what is happening behind the scenes. Reading and Hull are supposed to be in for him too, and not seen any numbers as to their bids touted about. Still think it’s all agent noice. If Bradshaw leaves for nothing next year his agent gets no cut of the transfer. Who’s really incentivised to get this move? Bradshaw will get better wages next year, either with us if we go up, or somewhere else on a free, if he stays and scores 20+ goals. If clubs pay fees then the players wages would probably go down.
Years ago after a particularly heavy Friday night session, I remember feeling beyond queasy on the way to the match and thinking that in addition to my woes I had to suffer watching Sheron up front. Since then, and even now, whenever excess ale effects spill over into Saturday afternoon, I involuntarily conjure up a balding Sheron in my mind.
I agree totally with what you say & have been banging this drum on here for a while, but some just want to get shut which I don't get at all, he is a proven striker at this level, why sell for peanuts because if people think we can buy a replacement for next to nothing are mistaken, he is championship class & that costs money
2 bids for Moore, 1 rumoured to be £1 million - rejected. Numerous bids for Bradshaw, 800k - rejected. A "substantial" bid for Potts - rejected. Well done to the new owners showing a bit of ambition, last time around at this level the lot would have been flogged for a couple of million profit by now.
Where’s this from? Didn’t know someone was in for Potts. Hope he stays as I think he’ll have a good season in this division.
