32 appearances without a goal in open play. How many will it take before he finally breaks his duck (assuming he will)? I will be positive and say 39.
To be fair to the lad, he barely started under Hecky and when Jose played him, he was on the wing (and was very effective there IMO).
Do Frenchmen have holes in their Arses? The olde songs about Napoleon Bonaparte seem to contradict this . We need another poll
I have been very critical of Thiam since he has signed as last season he was pants. But in the few pre season games I have seen this season, he has looked much better playing out wide. I still don't think he will offer a huge goal threat himself but I do think he will contribute plenty this season.
Why should I be positive about a player who has taken abart quarter of a million quid out of the coffers but not scored in open play? How many assists does he have?
I’m not saying you should be positive about him. Everybody has players they like more than others. My point was that your negativity isn’t limited to Thiam, it’s about anything and everything. All the time.
I think the other players felt sorry for him so they let him take the penalty that he scored from . And he topped it in .
Nowt to be positive that I can see over the last eighteen months. Let's hope Satdi sees a reversal of fortunes but I am not confident. My opinion.
I guess it’s the glass half full/half empty issue. I generally like to try and find some positives. Although, obviously with us being relegated, clearly the negatives outweigh. Hopefully it will do. If we can start well and get a winning mentality going, it could well be a good, positive season. I’m quietly confident but, admittedly, it’s an “if” at this stage.
I think he’ll do ok at this level. Can see him playing more centrally if Bradshaw goes, but I’m hoping not. Stendel will have them organised, hard working and fitter from what has been said. Doesn’t mean he’ll necessarily be a big goal threat but I see him being much more effective generally.
A optimist sees a glass half full A pessimist sees a glass half empty A realist sees that the contents of the glass are going down. A cynic sees a glass that someone else has spat in.
Jury is out for me on Thiam. I hope he comes good. Both him and Mowatt have shown signs of improvement.
