He was at the Sheff Utd game yesterday. Sky we’re panning round to all the faces in the crowd. it was like one of them ‘An audience With’ programmes.

He must be embarrassed watching this Leeds performance. Same set of players he had 3 months ago and they're tearing Stoke a new one....only difference would appear to be a different, better coach.

Can't believe how small-minded we are about Hecky. He will still have a great career. His misfortune to be with us when investment in the team went into the red.

Not intended to be nasty towards him. But this new Leeds coach seems,at this early stage,to be getting more out of the same players.

But against a Stoke team who were dysfunctional in the Premier League last season?

I don't think anyone can be sure if he'll have a great career.

Of course not, but this site is surely about opinion isn't it? Otherwise all discussion would be otiose?

I have a great deal of respect for the lad but I'm sure he'll be financially secure now so it matters not a jot whether he has a great career or not as far as I'm concerned.

I'm all for opinions as long as they're not mistaken for facts or certainties.

History will tell . If stendel manages to get us promoted with this team (pretty much the same team as last year ) and then go on to establish us in the championship then you could argue hecky underachieved last season .

Do you reckon he'll be financially secure? He's probably got more brass than most of us, but not sure he can hang up his tools just yet.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up and how he does.
My personal view is that he dropped very lucky with us, no expectation but to avoid relegation from league 1 with a team that was very talented and massively underperforming.
Fair play to him for creating and riding the wave of success with Wilson's players, but when that wave crashed so did he.
He left us with a massively inbalanced squad that was only heading one way and his short exploits at Leeds have only ramped up the pressure on him to succeed in his next job.
Or maybe he has already got it at Sky?

Good point re Sky, he’s very user friendly, presents well and comes over as a knowledgable pundit.
Could be the future for him but still have a feeling he’ll be back in management before long. Hope so, but whatever he does I wish him well because for me the magic times far outweigh the bad.

It's not the same players. They have strenthened really well with five new British signings. Bamford is a good striker and Douglas got Wolves up. We should be worried that this might actually be their season.

Whatever happens this season won’t change that we signed 16 kids last summer & had to replace virtually a full team, Hecky, Stendel, Guardiola or whoever was in charge last season would’ve struggled under them circumstances.

Hopefully a season of getting used to playing with each other & a full pre-season together is exactly what they needed

Leeds already had some quality players when hecky was there. Hernandez roofe siaz alioski jansonn they had about 30million pound of talent. They becomes a time when the excuses run out and results are needed. He took over Leeds when they were a few points off the play offs they ended up in the bottom half not surprised they didn't trust him and got rid.

I would have thought so, probably earned several million during his playing career (£10,000 a week is half a million a year so over a playing career of 10 years aught to do it) and no doubt got a decent wedge to terminate his contract at Leeds.

He did a great job for us, up to the great sale, after that was stuck with what we have now, pretty much. Bailed out & went to Leeds.
In time I'll try & forgive that. Lying ____-.

If he manages another Championship side I'd be surprised.

We have a better manager now & we will win the league as champions.
