Great gesture by the club well done.
Any chance this could be extended to families who don’t sit in the family stand?

    Could what be extended?

These are all location-based activities that are taking place in a specific area of the ground. How could that be 'extended'?

    Fantastic from the club, this.

Visited Anfield yesterday to get my daughter's birthday present and they have a fan zone behind one of the stands with eating places and bars - would like something like this. Plenty of room around the ground

It's kid friendly for the family stand. It would be silly to extend it other parts of the stadium. We'd end up turning our ground into a youth club.

    Gerrof thi high horse.

I said it was a brilliant gesture and that’s what I meant .
By extended it I meant what I said on the tin, extend to a fanzone for season ticket holders who wanted to be included .

Why would it be silly ?
Plenty of families in ponty end .
Anyway I think it will happen in end as these new owners said they want to increase pre match so get used to it

I think it will happen tbh small steps n all that .
Some fans think it should be just drinking dens for a match day experience but other clubs are showing there’s
    much more to it.
Fantastic start to how they mean to go on by the club I’m all for it

    No high horse here...

Did you read the article? Petting Zoo, Toby tyke in the concourse, players up there, Kids menu - All things that can only be in a single part of the ground without ridiculous costs/logistical issues.

I'm just genuinely confused what you want to be 'extended'. They're not going to do this all over the stadium, because they are marketing the family zone as the place for families. They will do other stuff elsewhere in the stadium IMO.

Excellent idea and some of the activities sound great. I'm really pleased the club is doing this!

However, it wouldn't be a post on the official website without a mistake (even ignoring the superfluous commas):

'All activities will run be run pre-match...'

I'm not sure if whoever is writing the website content knows this but there's a useful website called Grammarly where you can install a browser extension that checks written content and gives suggestions.

And did you read my post where I said extend to other STs holders ?didn’t say anything about extending to different parts of ground.
I was complimenting the gesture and expressing a view that it was welcoming and that similar fantastic gestures would be welcome (not necessarily the same ones ) in other areas it wasn’t a dig, critique, or sarcastic remark so if that’s your interpretation that’s your problem.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. From what I gather, the activities etc. are all taking place in the actual concourse at the family zone, no? So to involve other ST holders, you would have to extend around the ground?..

I think they should perhaps offer to allow you to exchange tickets - or maybe you already can?

    I have a 5 year old little girl, she doesn't have a season ticket - I do
I sit with my dad, brother, uncle cousin and 2 mates in the Ponty.
I would probably introduce her gradually and take her to a few games -Saturdays when she fancied it, but would want to sit in the family area now perhaps as she would love the petting zoo thing for example and it would probably encourage her to come more if there was more to just watching the match at that age, but i wouldn't want to sit there every game if I'm not bringing her.

Like I say maybe you already can do this, its not something I've ever needed to do - just me exchange my season ticket for 1 in the family bit and then buy her a ticket - not sure of the price diff though or would they just wave any difference in my ticket? and how it would work on the cards, in the past they could just have ripped the voucher for that match out of the season ticket book and then given me a ticket for the family area - maybe they can block the season card for a game?

I’m pretty sure they’d swap your seat for the game Shaun, I’ve certainly moved for the odd game when bringing friends

I would assume that they could even just make your season card work at the family stand for a single game.

When I've changed seat before for a single game they blocked my card from working for that game and gave me a ticket for that match to scan at the gate instead. They never charged me extra for sitting in a different area (or refunded either - which I would never expect, of course, I'm just pointing out for accuracy). It was very quick and simple.

What I was thinking is to have a kidszone or family zone rather than just one area pre match where fans from all areas of the ground could come before and after .
Whilst not belittling the fantastic gesture the club has made.
Also a seoerate fanzone for the adults for the drinkers etc .
As Liverpoolred has mentioned other clubs are putting into place pre match experiences and our owners have intimated that is also their intentions .
    Exiting times for the club

Apologies if I came across as combative, was not my intention in the slightest. It makes a lot more sense now that I know you’re talking about moving the family zone to outside the stand.
