This is one of the more bizarre things I've asked on this board but over the years I've had people help me fix a computer, massively expand my knowledge of excel and good recommendations of builders etc, so I figured it was worth a go.

I am trying to buy old used wood, the older and more damaged the better. All I want is to make a door about 6'4 x 4' for display at a Halloween party. Something like this would be ideal: https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTA2NlgxNjAw/z/pd4AAOSw4RZbK40y/$_1.JPG

I thought it'd be easy to find online but it doesn't seem that there's much locally at all. I've emailled a few local reclamation places but as it's a small order no-one seems to be arsed to get back to me.

Can anyone recommend anywhere or is anyone looking to get rid of anything similar?

Have you inquired at council works depots or dump it sites ?
I’m sure if you enquire they’ll have one or two that suits or save you one.

I chucked a load of wood out the other day. A bloke came and collected it to chuck it in the dumpit site. I asked him how much wood I could chuck. He said I could chuck as much as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
