Thought we would have scraped up last season if the board hadn`t got us relegated with their decision to bring in Morais. If they do rectify their mistake and get us promoted and back on par then last seasons class are well capable of survival with the minor improvement in development and the confidence a promotion brings. But I wouldn`t expect owt int top haif of Championship.

I always thought the million pound question was, “Which king was married to Eleanor of Aquitaine?”

I think majority would be Championship ready imo.
They are young lads who didn’t gel straight away in champs but still were good enough to stay up if management structure had been right.
Of top of my head Potts and Mowatt have improved tremendously since last season imo

We are a long way off being promoted & that should not be taken for granted, but if we do make it then I think the key to doing well, is our HC. So far he has been very impressive & I get the impression he would relish the challenge, but the problem we then have is that his stock will rise & vultures from other clubs may come sniffing but we have no crystal ball & what will be will be .

It's a bizarre question because you started it with "If".
What kind of supporter are you? ;)

If we get promoted, it won't be the same team as now with January and summer to come, we could easily lose some and add some, and probably will.

On Saturday we were excellent against 2nd in the league, and there were real similarities to the performances at Wigan, wallsall and Wembley, and we're only 11 games in.

What is key, is what we do if and when we do get back up in terms of business. We can't have another fire sale, and I expect the owners know that as well.

I'm not worrying about next season, or even January. I'm enjoying watching these young lads express themselves.

Who was Jose Morose (Morais)?According to the BBC list of league managers/head coaches Stendell was preceded by Heckingbottom. I can understand why lots of Reds supporters would want him air brushed from history but he was "in charge" until the end of The Derby County game last season.

Yes - and that’s the whole point.
How the HELL did we manage to get relegated last season !?!?!?!

Many on here were slagging off the same players that they are praising this season.
As I said last season - it’s not the players that are at fault - it’s the formation that Morais introduced.
This season has proved that opinion to be right.

If you look at the players we have had at the club in the last 12 months and then add them to this squad - then IMO it’s a top 6 Championship team.

Well let's look at the 6 players you mentioned..
Hammil - Agreed by many that we should keep him if we went down, but not good enough at championship level
Yiadom - Why would we want back a player who went on sky to try and engineer a move away before walking away on a free

The other 4 weren't ours and were never going to be ours despite your belief we are going to start spending millions on transfer fees and pay silly wages.
And while morais was a poor appointment the players played their part in a relegation

I’d say not on current evidence but we have time to develop.

I don't believe these players under Daniel Stendel & his staff would be relegated from the Championship. For me, the lads have shown (and continue to show) improvement and developement under the new Head Coach, even when taking into account the opposition we face.
I appreciate few will share my optimism and view.
