    in years gone by we might have had a young kid from the premier league under 18’s at left back and centre forward today, maybe even goalkeeper.

    I’m right chuffed we had our own lads in there, irrespective of how well they did. It was good to see and will only help them and therefore us in the long run.

    Why would a goalkeeper come to us to sit on the bench if he can keep on playing in the youth premier league?

    Jack Butland came from Stoke when they were in the premier & he was a teenager & he obviously wasn"t second choice at Stoke , otherwise he would have been on the bench for them instead of playing for us , same with Henderson who is playing on loan for Sheff u from Man u .
