Me and my older son are season ticket holders but this morning my youngest said he wanted to come, I didn't realise that I couldn't pay an under 12 or 17 in on the gate, so we went and queued for ages at the box office to get a ticket meaning we missed the first 10 minutes, the box office was full of under 17s getting tickets. I was a bit fed up as I can't see why a younger one can't pay in on the gate at the side of a adult ticket holder it's not a sell out so finding a seat together isn't a big issue. I now know for future but surely only being for sale in the ticket office isn't necessary. Anyway fantastic today considering Davies Dougall and Moore were unavailable.
I wondered why the queue for the box office was out the door. I didn't think Charlton and Shrewsbury would have a mad rush. Lots off the field can be improved, that included. Don't know why concourse has had up a red structure for months and it's got no further. One young lass serving a bloated attendance on her own, whilst her only helper did nothing more than put cash in the till. Queues to get in as not enough turnstiles were open to cope with demand. Matchday programme very first page headline thought today's game as an evening kick off.
I was getting wound up with the game having kicked off and people at the counter holding things up with nothing to do with the game that had started. A lot of u17s though mainly trying to get tickets for the match.
I too wondered why the queue for the box office was so long. I got in literally just at kick off as I was running late and there were no queues at the East Stand but there were queues for West Stand and Ponty end at 12 and a queue that looked about 15mins long at box office.
