Come on here to have a read of some positivity and there's threads moaning about Brown and Moncur. Moncur was outstanding in the first half, best player on the pitch by a mile. Luton grew into the game second half and a player like Moncur is never going to shine as much then. Fine to suggest maybe he could be subbed then, but folk moaning at him? And Brown... got an assist, did ok. No, he's not Kieffer Moore, but he's a young lad that has worked hard to make it through the Academy, is finally having an impact on the first team, yet gets stick despite the fact we beat a very good team. Do folk really need to moan when we beat a very good team with 3 key men missing?
We can’t expect to have it our own way for 90 minutes opposing managers are allowed to change things round and make it difficult for us at times. We dug in at times 2nd half but in my opinion ran out worthy winners.
Me neither love away days, thought the atmosphere was better today than it has been at home. Gutted I can't make Shrewsbury so I will be 6 from 8 away hopefully that will get me a ticket for Accrington.
I've not seen all that many moaners on here today but that could be because I have the usual suspects on Ignore. I thought I would try that a few weeks ago and it really does make this place a better forum. Maybe I will get a few barbed comments from those on the list who read this, but I won't know will I? I'm not saying that everybody should agree with everyone else, or that there is no room for criticism. I moan as much as anyone else sometimes at the matches, especially when an obvious forward pass is missed in favour of a square or backward one that just breaks up the move. It's obvious though that sometimes you have to take two steps back for one forward and the speed that some of these lads can move the ball often sets up a chance out of seemingly nothing. Anyone that reads my posts will realise I am generally a positive poster and I loved watching us today. I've seen the whole of most matches this season, either in person or on iFollow, and today on Sky because I opted not to travel. It was the wrong decision and I made another one later in going to watch Harrogate v Dover. My local team could have gone top of the National League had they won but it was not a great spectacle. 2-2 draw, mostly a snore-fest but I had the memory of watching my PROPER team earlier turn it on in front of the nation (well, those who chose to watch it anyway). I'm enjoying this season and I expect it to carry on like this until the end when, hopefully, we will be celebrating another promotion.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's what a board like this is about. I myself might not agree with what is being posted, but I challenge it if I don't like it. Which often gets me in the collective bad books. For a supposed journo to seek to suppress the opinions of others with a "Christ on a bike " headline seems to me to be more worrying - is that what we're all meant to do - chant about how great we are and not post what we think we saw? We don't all post on here just for you to find "positivity".
It's a loaded start. For a journo. But he's entitled. He's entitled to moan about the same things we all do, but ..err..positivity? Do we all have to be positive? (which I largely have been, goalie excepted btw)?
Nope, we are all entitled to look for negatives after a 7-2 aggregate against Peterborough and Luton.
I'm not a journo - I was an amateur one about 15 years ago and write the odd thing these days. Don't see the relevance of that anyway. As for being entitled to say what you want, well yes obviously. My point is that people can't wait to moan about anything regardless of the result. A bit of positivity never did anyone any harm...
Well now that your credentials have been established, then I can see your post in a different light. Nevertheless, this is not necessarily the place to look for positivity. Conan may not be posting after a victory, but there are others who might think that it could quite easily have been a draw today.

That's opinion of players performance, it's not moaning. You may not agree with that opinion, I actually think all three have some validity even if they're a bit strong. I honestly don't see a problem with assessing player performance good and bad whether we win lose or draw.
