.....out for 4 months due to a blood clot (dvt) in his calf. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46149834
That is not good. I had an embolism at 29 that ended me playing football & caused me to have tunnel vision. Once you've had something like that you worry what may come next. Hope the lad is OK.
Judging from his Instagram he seems to spend a lot of his time prancing around doing product placement and whitening his teeth. Barely played for them. I bet he earns about 350k to 500k a year What a life.
Apparently he had a blood clot on his lung at 15!! I know what you mean, JP, as I had 2 DVTs behind my knee and that was the end of my playing career. Mind you, I was 44 but still playing at the highest level in the mighty South Cambs Premier League!
The supremely athletic Serena Williams had an operation for the removal of blood clots in her lung a couple of years ago.
There are a lot of genetic factors. Doing heavy weight training is not good if you are susceptible to blood clots or even migraines. Cardiovascular exercise is much better.
This is really sad to see. His spell with us may have ended on a sour note but I will always be grateful for his efforts while he was with us. His equaliser against Wednesday will always live long in the memory. Hope he can recover from this and still go on to have a decent career.
Met him in Starbucks in Wakey after he'd moved to Hull, he wished us well for the rest of the season and he seemed a really nice bloke. Hope he recovers.
Lived across the road from my sister at Notton. My lad (10) waited for him to arrive home and knocked on his door for his autobiograph. Couldn't have been more accommodating. Pics with my lad and his sister. Signed his shirt and a programme. Top bloke. Hope he recovers
That can’t be anything to do with it. The conspiracy theorists decided his iron levels were fine & it was an elaborate cover up
