https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46080487 Cracking goal Cauley - many more to come please! I didn't realise that Moore was completely unmarked to score the fourth. He should have had a double hat trick today. Potts missed a few as well.
Two things I noticed watching the highlights - Zeki bollocking Dimi. Great to see a defender not afraid to make himself heard. And Keiffer Moore - that pace for the 3rd. New he was deceptive but that was serious burners. Great effort and deserved his goal too (although he should probably have had 4 or 5). Well done reds. Professional job done really well.
I don't know of many strikers as tall as Moore that run as fast. He's a bit of a one off. Wonder if Ipswich regret letting him go, given the fix they're currently in.
Odd highlights selection. Offside goal, tame shot from Thiam and a bicycle kick that went well wide deemed to be better highlights than Woodrow and Moore’s misses in the first half and Potts’s in the second?
Think he’ll go on to be even better, he’s come the hard way back into professional football and big target men tend to get much better with age (think Chris Woods with us, to Chris Woods with Leeds/Burnley). Thing with Moore is he has much more than just size. He has pace, a decent touch, and a good finish from distance. I think the only thing to work on is movement in the box and composure. He could have had another 5 today. If he gets it all right he could be unplayable at this level, and even at Championship. Know clubs are sniffing about and hope we keep him past January.
He'd be better off continuing to miss a few sitters. Till we get settled in the championship. Otherwise the predators will attack and he'll be off, and we'll be still where we are now. His howlers keep him with us. He's still our best player. And I think he'll get better. Plus we don't presently fully play to his strengths. And he's quick!
