If he stays fit between now till the end of the season, how many goals do you think he will score in the league ?
At least 10. I like his work rate and his link up play with Moore. He looks a clever player too, good awareness
He looks sharp. And I think he’ll bag more than Bradshaw between now and next season. Decent business BFC. Well in. Hopefully we can spend the Bradshaw money we get in January on another striker to compete with Moore and Woodrow. Then I think we’ll be right up there season end.
Hope he can get 10 plus. On another note Bradshaw out till end of season for millwall now knee injury
Yep, gutted for the fella. But provided Woodrow stays fit then again will go to show, whist nothing is easy to predict, sometimes you just have to trust the judgement of those in charge. Obviously we don’t know if Tommy had got injured if he stayed. But imagine if he had, and we turned down £1.5m for him. Then we are a striker down, £1.5m down and probably relying on Brown and Adebadejo to support KM until January.
Think he could form a good partnership with moore definitely! Id still like to see a couple of quality naturally wide players brought into the squad
If we are talking league goals so not counting today's effort or any other cup goals I would say 8-10 would be a good return.
Don't think there's a problem with fitness (hoping like), think Stendel has/is looking after that. As for goals, if he keeps the 'poacher' style I think a good 10 and a few in cups. However, that depends on him getting service, which appears lacking to the front at times lately - but all may change with the attacking style he seems to have.
I think Moore will benefit significantly from having woodrow playing off him, Moore was looking for him with through balls and flick ons, he keeps defenders busy, looks quick has a good touch and looks to get on the end of stuff as well as linking play and pressing. With him playing makes for a more structured 442 with Potts and Thiam /hedges /Moncur /Isgrove wide. Positive start and he doesn't look unfit or off pace.
If yesterday was an example he will be a great addition, willing worker with good awareness. We were about level where he set off when he scored, he was off like a flash no hesitation with the finish, lovely goal.
Will be difficult to select a front 4 with so many of our attacking players returning to full fitness. Pick 4 from Moore, Woodrow, Brown, Adebayejo, Thiam, Hedges, Isgrove, Potts, Bahre and Moncur. Not even enough room to fit the other 6 on the bench with cover for the defence and goalkeeper.
You list Brown, in there, and rightly so. But I thought he looked quite tidy when he came on at right back yesterday, particularly going forward. Admittedly, this was after Notts County had crumbled and looked well beaten, but it's nice to have someone that versatile in the squad. As for Woodrow, first impressions are that he's passionate (ie insisting their free kick be moved back 8 foot) with nearly as much work rate as Bradshaw but more physical presence. If him and Moore hit if off, there could be a decent combined goals tally to come.
He looked excellent at wing back when he came on away at Scuntorpe too. For a young lad breaking into the team the versatility he has shown is a credit to him.
Impressed with woodrow yesrerday. Hard to judge after one game but seems an improvement on Bradshaw. Works hard, like Bradshaw did, but seems to have a better touch, quicker and more physical presence.
