    Destiny.. Grimsby.
If we go up, which will probably depend on what we do in the jan widow... We'll need about 8 new lakers..

    **laikers

And if he ends up at Grimsby, he’ll still be playing professional football at a side currently in the football league. Not exactly a huge insult.

We will need new players if we go up yes. 8? Maybe. Probably not.

If and it's still a big if, we do go up what last season has hopefully taught us is quality over quantity.

There's nothing like a positive post.

And your post was nothing like a positive post.

I wouldn't have thought Rotherham's side from last year were any good in the Championship... or Wigans, or Blackburns cause they were proper dog **** when they went down.

Been around a while now without much of a chance. Expected with our relegation that he would get plenty of game time this season. Especially as the position he plays in hasn't exactly been nailed down. If we go up he will be even less likely to get game time I would have thought. Management can't think he's progressing as well as they hoped. Shame really as he was highly rated a couple of years ago.

Everyone went on about digby and looked what happened to him. When you watch soccer saturday its amazing how many ex reds pop up. Bit harsh to write bird off b4 hes even started in 1st team. He could be the next digby but he could also be a butterfield. Time will tell.

The odd appearance isn't enough to see a player develop. We'll not know if Bird or Victor or Brown are good enough unless they play regularly... admittedly not easy given the competition for places. The players that leave and then do well largely do so through playing game after game after game. It's all about momentum. Brown will have been buzzing after his goal at Peterborough but has played right back ever since... it doesn't help his development. I'm not critisciigng the team selection by the way, just emphasising how difficult it is for young players to develop.
