We've had our own problems this season as documented by folks on the BBS. Last week we had a Spurs player throw a banana in the North London derby. Now another middle aged man who should know better is at it.....
Rio Ferdinand also put it on his Instagram. Disgusting makes it worse the bloke is old enough to know better. Don't like to get into politics on here but I do think it's got worse since this brexit and tommy Robinson age.
It could get worse mi owd, once we are out of Europe and the little England bullshyte clicks in with the Baffoon Johnstone in comand owt can happen.
Shouting racist abuse as he’s stood 3 people away from another black bloke. Hope he’s banned for life. Hope his family are very proud.
Is there an audio element I've missed or did Sterling hear it? Surely otherwise we're just lip reading and assuming what was said? Just wondering as I've played it three times and can't really say with certainty what was being shouted.
People like that feel emboldened by the mainstreaming of Tommy Robinson racism and Brexit to say whatever comes into their diseased mind. Scum.
It's not going away. The far right (or those to the right of the right) have gained significant ground in mainstream politics over the last 5 years or so (brazil's new leader makes Trump look like a democrat). The left are where? The right have and are smashing the social media war. I see colleagues in the nhs sharing right-wing propaganda. Worrying times.
Agreed. By definition, racists are mouthy and aggressive, whereas folks at the other end of the spectrum are a bit quieter, thoughtful and respectful. If we're not careful, the racists will have inherited the Earth long before the meek have got their act together.
See the headlines now when outed, he will say." Sorry in the heat of the moment it was totally out of character. I've got many black friends." Not now mate.
Sterling’s made a brilliant post on Instagram. Basically comparing the stories in the Daily Mail about Phil Foden buying a house for him mum & a young black City player buying a house for his mum. They slate the black player but not Foden. Winds me up when papers like this fuel racism & then act outraged when people are racist.
It’s no surprise with the rhetoric spouted in the media over the last few years. It’s normalised racism again.
Even if he didn't make a racist comment and said manc instead of black, him and the ones at the side of him still need banning under no circumstances is there justification at a football match for that much vile, vicious nastiness and abuse to be directed at any footballer, its seen at all grounds and it is disgusting. It's not passion it is un educated low life behaviour, if you don't agree please don't respond as I wouldn't want to debate it with someone who thinks it is acceptable. Awful video to watch I hope they are found, banned have some remorse and can change.
