Liam Lindsay - it's 2-0 but Bradford were almost through our defence, one more pass and it's a good chance of 2-1 with plenty of time to spare, Liam deliberately manhandles their player off the ball and takes a tactical yellow.

Adam Chicksen - it's still 2-0 but it's the 89th minute, giving away another goal now makes no real difference. Clips Brown, gets a red card and will now serve a ban putting more pressure on his team.

I mean, Lindsay’s yellow was on the half way line whereas Brown was edge of the box....

I didn’t think Lindsay needed to make that foul we had plenty of cover though I can see why he did it. The Bradford guy was just a bit slow I don’t think he intended to bring Brown down but once he tripped him the ref had no option unless browns shot whilst falling had gone in

Liam Lindsay was ******* stupid doing what he did. Totally unnecessary and perfectly proves what I said the other day. He just jumps in, makes a foul or simply grabs hold of a player every single week without thinking about the consequences. A shame because other than that which showed his total immaturity and once again highlighted his weakness he had a really good game.

Let's not forget that a few years ago Hourihane used to commit some awful deliberate professional fouls, I recall several times when opposition players were deliberately tripped up by him and he was only given a yellow card.
Lindseys foul today was mild in comparison but still deserved a yellow.

I've not seen it back but at the time I thought it was the kind of foul a player makes to take one for the team. He knows he'll get a yellow but knows without making it there is a chance of a breakaway and the possibility of a goal.

I honestly don't think that was the case. It was just typical Lindsay. Does it all the times it was just noticed by more today. We were in no danger but he's more handsy than Harvey Weinstein and can't resist a good grope of the opposition.

An unrelated point. Lindsay was outstanding today. Absolutely brilliant.

I'd need to watch it again as my recollection may not be accurate but I think you're sometimes a little harsh with your critiques of him. Obviously I rate him more highly than you which is probably why I saw the foul differently. Opinions, opinions.

I agree. Both him and Pinnock were outstanding and had it not been for McGeehan either could have been MoM (along with three or four players).

You could make cases for Pinnock Lindsay McGeehan Mowatt Brown and Tiam as MotM. With Cavare and Williams not far behind

Other than his one moment of madness I thought he had a very good game today and was in the top 3 for motm. I just wasn't surprised one bit when he did it as it seemed to me to be typical liam.

    ******* blinkered.

Woodrow played a woeful pass (one of many today), they are running through, with some but only very limited cover, and Lindsay made the call to stop the play. Correctly.

Took one for the team, an old fashioned professional foul.

If he’d let him run on, and they’d scored, you’d have criticised him for not fouling him. You’ve just got a vendetta and only see bad.

The truth of that situation today was he took a booking to cover his teammate’s **** up.

I thought he did the right thing, we were outnumbered & it took the pressure off the side doing it there rather than on the edge of the box.

He was brilliant today, some of the cross field passes especially on his so called weaker foot were superb.

Interesting - I totally disagree with this ST - I thought Lindsay’s foul was completely pre-meditated and helped the team - it felt like it was a really dangerous attack and worth the booking!
