Theres a thread on it on OCG nice website with some of the statements on it.
according to rivere one of the investors Alex Zheng who is part of the chien lee consortium at nice but not here agreed with his vision the way forward for the club but the others did not.
Chien and conway wanted to run the club even though they said when buying the club they wouldn't get involved in any way with the running of the club and Alex Zheng wanted the investors to stay out of it and leave it to club president and CEO rivere and fournier.

rivere still has 20 % of the club ,if he wanted to run the club the way he wanted i am sure sure people will say he shouldn't have sold them his other 80 %
in the first place, cant have it both ways.
seems to be saying they told him lies about what was going to happen .
Paul conway set up wealth management fund/group for willing investors there and here for the deals.
i mean what did he expect, the point of wealth management funds is to make money for the investors in them or they would just put the money in shares , bonds etc

No money in that league unless they get into CL. Some games Nice have 8,500 fans.

    **** em off Chien.

One thing we do have going for us is that we're in the English leagues. A mid table side in the French top tier would only make a fraction of what a PL team would make from TV money etc. We have to accept that any new foreign owners are in it for the money, but then hope that we're in the right position to be worth investment. We have a decent fan base, Premier League history albeit brief, a solid and sustainable model and a good chance at promotion to the second lucrative tier this season. If they were ambitious enough we could be the cash cow and Nice could be the feeder club - however wrong that may seem.

While i think this isnt good for Barnsley short twrm i think the owners and GG will be delighted. It can be called feeder club but that makes no difference as we have been like this forever. We have to remember GG will be rewarded for his good work and it will open the door for a new opportunity. New thoughts and ides within the same blueprint. Remember the wholeclib model
Was that sustainability of the clib and continuity should not revolve around singular individuals. Theorugh this we should attract good talent and being nice we should have succession plans already underway. Good luck to GG he deserves his move and onwards and upwards for BFC.

The decision to let Ganaye go could cost Barnsley PROMOTION...................

Once again I have been proved right.........
Look back at my posts and you will see me questioning our CEO. As usual the sheep all turned on me. But now I have been proved right..............

The only person to blame for Ganaye going to Nice is Ganaye. It is a terrible decision by Ganaye to allow himself to leave and if BARNSLEY are not promoted because of this then GANAYE will be the one to BLAME.........

There is more to THIS than meets the eye. Why would anyone swap BARNSLEY for a FRENCH club. BARNSLEY are a much bigger CLUB than all FRENCH clubs. Clearly GANAYE has been forced out. As I always suspected I think he has been forced out by himself..........

He's a terrible CEO for forcing out such a promising young CEO..........

Barnsley was only ever going to be a stepping stone for Ganeye and Nice will be just another one. He will ultimately end up at one or other of the top French clubs. Far more disturbing is the reported fracas between Nice and the owners. Makes me glad that they don’t own infrastructure at Oakwell

    On a more serious note

CEOs, or club secretaries as they used to be known, come and go. GG may well be a good one, but one thing I'd trust entirely to a consortium of multi-millionaire business men and women would be the hiring of another good CEO.

What's far more worrying is that we now know for certain that we're less of a priority to the owners than their other club Nice. We had something good so it went there. It will happen again. We're not only up against the opposition, our best assets will go to the priority club. And we won't get market value.

The words of the departing CEO at Nice must also be cause for concern. Maybe there's no truth to them, I don't know, but it sounds like money made from transfers is not reinvested. Will it be at Barnsley? At the club that are about to provide what is clearly the parent club with their new CEO? Seems unrealistic to me.

I'd imagine that Nice is run on quite a big operating loss. Even if they average 20k crowds a lot of the tickets are heavily discounted and the wage bill to have the likes of Dante, Saint-Maximin and Balotelli as well as Vieira as coach must be huge.

That's the worrying part as it's surely a conflict of interest to pay one of their clubs compensation to poach from the club they like more.

    Has he ???
We don’t know what he’s done and what he’s responsible for.
Everyone on here seems to think he has no say on player sales i.e. Potts.
    So what’s he done ???
Jury is still ........... Out !!!

What is there at the club that we can point to and say if it wasn’t for Ganaye it wouldn’t be there.
Is the appointment of Stendel something that Ganaye can be proud of ???
We don’t know - nothing has been said - because Ganaye IMO is NOT a good communicator - he dosent say enough.
We have probably been spoilt on that front because Mansford was an excellent communicator - he was promoting Barnsley at every opportunity which was great to hear.

All what we do know about Ganaye is that Hecky thinks he was responsible for forcing him out of the club.
    A shocking decision.

If I was the owners now I would be looking for a CEO that Is a well known retired footballer that is able to attract players to the club and who is able to sell the club to the general public.
But I’m expecting another CEO from the continent to keep the link with the continent going.
