Living near Huddersfield has been an interesting watch for the past few years. A team rising from obscurity with a German unknown, a set of fans who I thought were a good set until their recent delusion of grandeur! They are now turning on their team, lack of effort turning up not expecting a goal never mind a win! Completely different to how I feel as a Red at the moment but we have been there in recent times...but these Town fans are taking it hard! (No sexual reference intended). Dont think we were this bad following our brief stay in Prem...they did stay up a year mind.

Thing is with success is that the fall back down hurts .
We embraced our season in prem it was unexpected and long overdue.
If we had stayed two seasons would we still have been as enthusiastic about losses most weeks ?
The response from some of the fanbase says they would rather be relegated than lose and just stay up .
I must confess that I’d rather stay up in these circumstances and there’s probably quite a few would concur but I also understand that it’s not ideal to build a fanbase on losses most weeks or mediocre football .
However there are some complete morons follow football that chase Footballers ,staff ,other fans on social media etc when things havnt gone our way and that disturbs me tbh along with some of the comments at games especially away where they seem to hide behind fellow supporters and draw support when authorities move in .
I know it’s a controversial subject but the authorities don’t help by treating everyone same especially when their are easier way to deal with these so called fans , videos , home visits etc .
    Rant over

Used to work with quite a few Townies and have kept in touch. They're rightly down
at the moment. It's not nice losing every week. That's the main reason why pet a
food manufacturer withdrew an offer to sponsor their shirt ,as it would look daft their players running
around with WINALOT on the front. Those fans I know are resigned to being relegated
come the end of the season. It will be great to renew our rivalry next term, if of course
    we are promoted.

What they got to moan abart.lol .. Most of us old uns were raised on it.. Oh those dark days of being in the bottom tier of league football ... When you'd all club together to buy a cup of bovril just to warm your hands because there was nothing to clap at.. When you'd attempt to climb over the paddock wall and the coppers would catch you and make you go back in even spud Murphy would sit on the paddock wall and agree with us it was bad .. Bsly would get the ball somebody would shout shoot and you'd hear a reply of which one yes we were that bad.... My heart bleeds for them lol

I don't mind Huddersfield. One of my mates works for Vinyl Tap & the town has had a lot of similar problems Barnsley has had over the years.

Hoyle has run the club well in terms of cash. Fulham have blown a sh!tload of money and could well go down with them.

They are definitely going down this time round.

MMmmmm...I also live amongst them. By and large a decent lot and seem to have a soft spot for us. Needed a striker this window to have any chance, chairman obviously preparing for relegation though

I watch them on MOTD and think they need freshening up completely if they go down. They look terrible.

I think that if this happened last season, they wouldn't have minded so much, but they got spoilt with players who weren't Premier league quality running their heart out and getting results.

I'm not too sure that they've got a squad capable of challenging for promotion back to the prem next season.

Got to say I agree. I’m not sure with the current squad that they will be chasing promotion next season.

Think Herr Winkler has made a bit of a **** up in terms of his personal CV. He could have had a promotion on his CV in his first year in English football, but instead will have a relegation.

Nothing against the bloke like, thought he did a good job for us
