Didn't do Solskjaer any harm as a bit part striker in a super sub role, playing second fiddle to Cole and Yorke. It's not how long you're on the pitch, it's how you make most of your time on the pitch. He's scoring more in cameos than others who play many more minutes. Going to be hard to catch you up.

But he won't! Enjoy the goals he's scored so far but certainly don't rely on them continuing.

Even if he does nothing else his brilliant winner against Portsmouth in a terrific game will give us many happy memories

He’s played all over the place for Barnsley, he had loads of games last season in a 3 man midfield with little defensive responsibility, he’s also played deeper, off a lone striker & on either wing

Wait till next season. He won’t show up again until his contract is about to run out.

I've nothing against him. He's a skilful player on his day. However, across three managers here he's failed to convince any of them he's worthy of starting and his stomach for a fight is suspect. Witness his disappearance on loan to Peterborough at his own request within months of joining us because he couldn't get a game.
Also don't forget he scored twice on his debut for Peterborough and quickly ended up on their bench never getting a game.
He may come good but I'm happy to have the money in our pocket, thanks.

That alone pulled you another 2 points clear. Some on here expect players to have everything in their locker which none of them do otherwise they'd be playing at a higher level. George has great technical ability but lacks the work rate shown by others. Some Barnsley fans take an instant dislike to that but personally I prefer to see a skilful player. He ripped Luton apart at Oakwell and was easily MotM which is why you bought him. We did the same after he had an outstanding display for Colchester where he was player if the season
On his day he is a match winner and there aren't many of those about. He didn't show it every match but then again he was never an automatic choice. Don't think he ever took a free kick for us so was surprised he took yours in his first game. I was surprised we sold him to you because he is capable of adding enough extra points to keep you above us. This is our best ever chance of winning a title on over 60 years so any marginal gain I e. Not selling to our rivals, would have been a bonus. Still think we'll finish 1 and 2 at the end of the day.

He was played as a winger on more than one occasion something he defiantly isn't. Doesn't have the pace for it or the engine.

He simply didn't fit our system. Even off the bench we don't use an attacking midfielder in his mold. But did we need to sell to Luton is what riles some folk i think.

I get the isgrove to Portsmouth one more in a way as Portsmouth probably won't end up in top two but Luton may well.

When alls said and done, he's just signed so will be wanting to impress.

Luton have 14 games left. Can he keep it up? Remains to be seen.

I wouldn't sell or loan any player to a promotion or relegation rival in the January transfer window. No. It would be as simple as that. Whether George Moncur is any good or not, and there are legitimate arguments from both camps, has nothing to do with it.

Yes, 14 games left and we have 10 of the bottom 12 teams to play - definitely ours to lose

but you've got 6 top half teams to play - Charlton, Donny, Burton, Blackpool, Coventry & Fleetwood.

It is 10 of the bottom 14 though and looks an easier run in on paper

The bottom teams could be fighting more .Look at the results Oxford pulked off. Mid-table with no chance of relegation or playoffs are the best teams to play.

Yeah, no game is ever easy although our record against non top 7 is amazing, something like 22 wins 2 draws and 0 defeats but that could end anytime. With yourselves Sunderland and Portsmouth still to play each other we have at least a couple of points we can squander.

I'm not disputing that. I was talking about Moncur and whether or not he can find some consistency.

As already said, I'm not too bothered whether we catch you up or not. Automatic will suffice for me.

You've won 20 and drawn 8 in total. Where do you get your numbers from?

Are you counting pre season friendlies?
