Sunderland Forum

I like many others like to look at other clubs forums, it looks like the little town in Newcastle have been taking a look at ours. Like any forum some desent comments about us followed by some right belters, have a look it's a good laugh

 

Seems to be my post they’ve picked out.

Nerve, struck, much? Don’t like an accurate assessment it seems, ah well, will be nice come end of the season when they have to go through the playoffs.

 

Like most forums tbh

 

Some reasonable ones, some unreasonable ones and some that are clearly one step from changing their strips from red to blue, going on about attendances, how they once won something 70 years ago and that we have 6 fingers.

 

The large majority are complimentary about us and see us as a promotion threat, as we should them. It's a good read.

 

At least nobody can take Kes away from us (tongue cheek firmly). Nissan jobs however....

 

It's amazing that they think were a small club who they don't care about yet there's a 4 page thread on us on a night they've got a home game. Can't wait for season 2 of the laughing stock documentary.

Loved watching us thrash them on Netflix. Hope we repeat that this year.

 

Not sure the first line of this post makes us look very good to outsiders.

Wonder how many of those posting on the Sunderland forum can remember them winning a major trophy? Maybe not massive after all.

 

I’m sure they’ll get back to their rightful place of the championship eventually, I just don’t think it’s this season. They seem to have the same attitude as the wendies, maybe it’s just envy being insignificant compared to their black and white neighbours?

They can be amazing or just bitter and nasty, never seems a middle ground with them.

 

I honestly don't think it's fair to demonise "all " Sunderland fans. Brother in law was born in Marsden which
is a Coastal area near South Shields. He is a loyal Sunderland fan as is his son , together with a
number of his family. His Sister and husband however support Newcastle, so there's always banter.
He absolutely loves the Club and like a lot of their fans, was very concerned at the Clubs performances that saw them suffer successive relegations. As a person he is very kind, honest and an all round genuine nice bloke. On the occasions my Sis and him travel up from Walsall to stay with us, we always treat him to a game at Oakwell and if we put on a good performance, he readily compliments how the Reds have played. When we beat Sunderland last season, he phoned me after the final whistle, to congratulate us and predicted that unfortunately his team were probably going to be relegated. Obviously , he would like it if the Club returned to the Championship, but does not take that as a given. Spoke to him last week and he thinks we will go up and Sunderland will probably end up in the play offs.

 

They are slagging us off about things on OUR forum ,why are they looking at ours if we don't matter cos they're bigger and better then us.

 

A crescendo of boos at half time. I'm glad they don't think they are caustic though. Cracking hit for the Blackpool goal. Only saw last 5 mins to half time on the stream posted in another thread, Blackpool looking very tidy.

 

Haha. Nice to see the billy big ballocks fans getting dicked by little Blackpool. They really need to stop over looking teams just because they perceive themselves as being Barcelona of League one. They are here for a reason.

I had to go and have a look and there are some funny guys on their forum - all the jokes are so original https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/barnsley-forum.1462052/

 

I read 2 classic lines on their forum this evening: -

"Both teams are finding an orange shirt with ease"

"It's like watching a wardrobe trying to play football"

And of course the name of their manager "Jack Dross".

To be fair they seem like a decent set of lads and lasses on there, meltdown when they lose, tantrum when they draw (again!) but always funny and a good read.

 

They just seem a bit cheesed off with their relatively expensive squad playing negative football. I would be too in their shoes. Like most forums, they’ll have normal people and complete doppers.

 

I read their forum quite often, it’s pretty entertaining to be honest and one of the better ones. Some funny comments on there made me laugh even if they are at our expense sometimes. It’s only banter, don’t dish it out if you can’t take it back.

They seem a decent bunch to me.
