So theres this bloke. Bit of a shithouse called Tommy Robinson. Or Steve to his mates.
He took part in a Panorama documentry to boost his profile. To say it didnt have the effect he desired is an understatement.

Anyway, roll on a couple of years. Steve it would appear from the odd snippet ive seen has gone and done a Panarama on er Panarama and inflitrated the Beeb with some covert videoing etc and is going to air the entire footage outside the studios in Salford quay next saturday.

The general gist of the trailers seems to be the Beeb have gone all propaganda mad and fake news with a bit of contempt for the working class alomg with some alledged summons to a few journos.

As with most films the trailers are the best part so i doubt theres much else but if the best is yet to come there couxld be some serious ramifications for the Beeb

As much as I don’t like Yaxley-Lennon (understatement alert!) I think the bbc are going to come off the worst here. I’ve a friend at work who knows him quite well and it’s been interesting this week shall we say hearing the inside view, only from one side I must admit.

The BBC took a lot of stick from back bench Tories over the covering of early days Austerity with them clamouring for the board to be changed and Tory favoured replacements .
What we have had in the last few years is a result of these changes

No I haven’t tbh but I was alluding more to the overall edited content and general feel of the Beeb tbh.
There’s no doubting since new labour and Cameron’s reign it’s pretty woeful

I’ve no real opinion on the whole shebang, both sides usually complain it favours the other! :) is certainly scrap it as an institution and make it paid for by adverts, of a subscription service.

    I’d disagree tbh
The format gave such as Ken Loach and other producers a chance whereas the money grabbing private stations only want the quick buck programmes .
Social dramas as Kathy come home etc would never have been shown anywhere else .
There’s a place for the BBC as a public owned company that reports and shows social and international day to day real lives .
It’s the political posturing of appointing favourites in charge rather than as in the past the best person for the job.

I can see that and it’s very true, the good things it produces across tv, music and digital channels should be applauded. I get pretty disillusioned when it try’s to take sides, humans are pretty disposed to doing that and bbc presenters aren’t any different I guess

There’s a counter-demo planned by Momentum, amongst other left-wing groups. Sadly I’m not in work that day as I’d take great delight in watching that evil lovely person get kicked to ****.

Tommy Robinson has a voice and should be heard.

Owen Jones has a voice and should be heard.

I’d rather listen to Tommy tho.

I have no love for either Tommy or the Beeb but I am very intrigued over what this film is going to portray.

Its very likely that true to his usual form a bit of a damp squib.

However, what happens if it isnt a damp squib.
Even though it is generally accepted the Beeb does hold political bias over a number of standpoints its is accepted that they remain fact base.

If this film does show parts of the Beeb complicting the making and distribution of 'fake news' and shows that certain parties within the same hold the working class in contempt, what then.

    Thats the question.

Im also glad that we are able in this tolerant society able to accept the politicial opinions of others without wishing them harm or even death because we dont agree with them.

Theres enough arseholes in both sides of the political spectrum as it is.

Well it won't portray that, because they don't. I know a lot of people who work in news and they have higher standards than you'd imagine and a set of producer guidelines that I'd struggle to adhere to. Sure, there might be some political bias that creeps through - I don't monitor it closely enough to comment honestly on that - but 'fake news'??!? That's simply not true. That lovely person Robinson is chancing his arm with Trump's playbook and hoping there are enough dumb phucks over here to swallow it in the same way Donald's supporter base have.
What I find funny is that he's chosen to unveil his film at that epicenter of the BBC's political output, Salford Media City!! As he rails against injustice in front of the puzzled onlookers from BBC Sport, Children's TV, BBC Religion and a lifesize model of the Tardis.
Go for it Tommy, you piece of schitt.

So you are saying the BBC news editorial team and editor in chief are biased towards right wing politics? Really??? Strewth
Quite a few journos and former editors are ex Guardian which is considered as one of the most left leaning of the dailies. Example - appointment of Ian Katz, deputy editor of the Guardian, to the editorship of BBC2’s Newsnight (albeit he has now left for a role at Channel 4).

The current BBC director of news and current affairs Fran Unsworth is not exactly known as right leaning, in fact quite the opposite, and when it comes to the EU she is is also a board member of the European Unions Erasmus Mundus programme, hence the widely held belief that influence from 'on high' has resulted in BBC reporting being pro EU biased.

You only have to look at the BBC news website to see how the article content is often at odds with the banner headlines and how agenda driven the BBC news is now (clickbait?) at both ends of the social and political spectrum. Very little factual reporting takes place, replaced with supposition - 'could', 'might' 'may' and articles taken from social media and other sources (and yes.....including the Guardian).

Where is your evidence for your last sentence since both Left and Rght accuse the BBC of bias on a regular basis?

The political repoting side of BBC news is pretty much a branch of the tories propaganda machine these days. The bias is pretty breathtaking. You expect the BBC to be establishment but Nick Robinson for example is pretty much a media spokesman for May.
