...which has probably been asked and answered before.

If we were very successful in the future and qualified for Europe and Nice also qualified, would we be allowed to compete. I thought there was some kind of rule about owners not being permitted to have two clubs in the same competition, or am I imagining this. Thanks in advance.

that's a good question. I know that you cannot have an investment in more than one club in the leagues here. But not sure about internationally.

We should be...RB Leipzig were recently in the same Europa League group as RB Salzburg...both owned by Red Bull.

They got round it because Red Bull only sponsor Salzburg now after selling shares. In theory we wouldn't be allowed to sell as our owners have influence over both clubs.

You can own a quarter of every club in the league here. I think the cut off is 30% but could be wrong.

They also ONLY own 49% of Leipzig as that's all the German rules allow....the other 51% is owned by members who are all major shareholders in....Red Bull. That's why they are hated in Germany....flout the rules but get away with it. Not that different to over here after all ;)

They fully own Salzburg....the owner is the founder of Red Bull and still owns 49% of the shares.

Kind of questions the ‘massives’ would ask.

It's the way the companies are structured that gets them round it. It's all about having a "controlling influence" and I'm guessing they've managed to structure everything so that the people named at the top of company a are not at the top of b and c even though they really are.
The closest way I can think of how it would be here would be if Conway owns 51% of us and 49% of nice and chien Lee owns 51% of nice and 49% of us.

I’m sure Nice could find something else to do on Tuesday nights.

This question has the same answer as "how many angels can you fit on the head of a pin?" . i.e purely hypothetical. If we play Nice in a competitive game before I die I will expose my bum in the window of a high street shop of your choosing.

I also checked on Watford 'cos I felt they owned an Italian club - seems the owners son is the owner of Udinese - if we make it to the promised land I would expect Chen Lee's long lost great Aunty to take a majority "ownership" of the club, just in case.

There’s some pretty flippant answers to your very reasonable question on here from the usual cynics and malcontents.

To answer your question. Yes, you are imagining it. There is no way we could even win the UK heats to qualify for Eurovision.
