Seems they are facing a 12 point deduction for FFP breaches and actions taken while under a soft transfer embargo. Up to year ended 2018, they lost £20m and wages accounted for 202% of their turnover. They then signed a player for £2m despite being under the embargo. A hearing in 2 weeks according to ssn.
Throw the book at them! Really gets my goat this......I see bolton have had their transfer embargo lifted ......I mean come on efl. ..mind you they can't transfer anyone in at the moment.
Brum & Bolton are cheats - signing players well beyond their means (& the rules) to the detriment of other clubs. I don’t feel sorry for their fans cos they’ve lapped up the “success” of their cheating- points deduction? Should be relegated!
I would love it if Birmingham City got hammered in this case. They are a horrible club with a set of fans as nasty as Millwall.
Yep. I never understand why people say: "It's unfair on the fans." It was unfair on our fans when Birmingham and Bolton cheated last season and ended up relegating us. I feel pretty certain Bolton will drop this season. With the chairman they've got, I can see them really starting to slide.
Disliked them since the playoff semi when I took my then teenage son & daughter - had to crouch behind a wall as bricks & bottles thrown at us by 200-300 rabid nutters! Never seen anything like the hatred in their faces! Extinction would be too good for the lunatics!
Was there myself at 7 year old. Although my old mans friends were giving them some right hammer back as my dad were rushing me out of the way.
The EFL are completely spineless when it comes to handing out punishments in cases like these. Bolton have been issued 5 winding up orders by HMRC in 14 months. But they reach some sort of agreement and get away with it time after time. It’s sickening
