It was right in front of me - totally accidental clash of heads, no elbows or excessive force. Glad Moore seems to be ok.
We haven’t had a definitive answer re Moore’s condition yet. Sad to see for the Gillingham fans. Losing your captain in a relegation battle is the last thing you want. Hopefully they can pull clear.
I'm hoping if Moore is in light training it doesn't mean the rest of the season out. Just goes to show you never know what's round the corner.
Yes. There was only 1 stretcher & Moore the priority, but took 2 to carry him off the pitch - looked likely to be long term. Was a double whammy as they'd used all their subs & played out with 10 men (something not picked up in official report / bbc report). At least we had Victor.
I'd argue it wasn't a challenge on Keiffer just a coming together, albeit a very heavy one. Hope both recover as quickly as possible.
Really bad news for Gillingham and Zakuani - seems strange he has done his ankle in a clash of heads but it seems thats what has happened - hope he recovers more quickly than expected. And hope Moore has no lasting damage and is fit to play in a week or so
https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2019/february/zakuani-injury/ Sad news that. We could have done with him available at Sunderland next Tuesday night.
So why did he get booked then for a clash of heads ? Posted at 90' Gabriel Zakuani (Gillingham) is shown the yellow card for a bad foul.
Trevor kettle was the referee. I'm just surprised he didn't send Sedgwick off for improper use of a magic sponge.
I must admit that when I first saw the incident it looked like the Gillingham lad led with his arm but having seen it again it just looks like a heavy challenge. Hopefully they'll both be fine and back playing sooner than expected.
