I'm more worried about them than I am Sunderland, but Its a lot of ground to make up. Its two of us, pompey and luton for me
I fear no one and neither does the team the way they have been playing. We have points in the bag and I can't see us dropping enough for Danny to catch us.
Nobody should be scared of Doncaster Rovers. We won't be in the same league as them next season when they are still in the third tier. Can't wait for our game there. It will be like an home game with the following we will take.
Absolutely not scared of them, If both teams are on their game when we play, I am confident we will win. As well as they played at Oakwell this season, their chances came from errors. You can harp on about this game or that game during a season, as we will beat teams who have beaten them and vice versa. The league table doesn’t lie. One thing that does give me great satisfaction is that Bähre apart, ours are all are own players.
Statistically possible? Sure, but if we're losing a 9 point lead to Doncaster (10 with goal a +11 goal difference) then we won't be going up anyway.
Me personally, i think the Automatic places are now between the top 4 clubs as it stands, and as for the playoffs i reckon it could go down as far as Accrington, av faith were a gud team. C.O.Y.R.
Looks like they've taken this thread to heart! https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...hare_tid=269075&share_fid=154051&share_type=t 'It's rough where you live" "No, its rougher where you live" Dear me. Is this what football rivalry has come to?
They don’t seem to know that the funding for the airport is allocated from the region .its a regional airport based in Donny it’s not because Donnys a great town it’s because out of the towns and city/s the National ex military base was best suited.
Not scared of any team in the division, but from the teams we've played at home, I respect Doncaster more than any other, because at least, they came and had a go. Their goal came as a result of errors in marking and positioning. I was in line with Coppinger as he ran forward and to be honest, he should never have been allowed to get his cross in. Our next error was to allow Kane to get his head on the ball which he did and it skimmed into the back of our net. It was a good job that Marquis kept straying offside, otherwise we could have easily conceded more than one goal. I hope the lads have learned from that game. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves at the Keepmoat and come away with a win. However, if I was offered a point right now, I'd gladly take it. Three points at home and one away, should hopefully see us up automatically.
Folk in glass houses. I don't know why a town with the biggest population of gypsies would call anyone inbred. Proper real life inbreeding, not like something on Emmerdale.. Baffling.
Maybe so but the Airport had to be given the go ahead by Doncaster Council to be taken to Government for the final decision, and Peel wanted to move their, and meetings held with the Doncaster public for years, Doncaster has an aviataion history stemming back over 100 years, Doncaster benefits more than anyone in the region from the airport being successful
It was also given on condition that it merged with Sheffield Airport . Doncaster does indeed greatly benefit with the location but aided and abetted by the region as a whole . Doncaster would never have got the go ahead without the aid and cooperation of the rest of us .
The only time Doncaster frightens me is when I'm towing my beautiful caravan between Marr & Blyth on the A1.
We can get a chance to assess just how good Doncaster Rovers are tomorrow. Their FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace is live on BBC 1 TV tomorrow starting at 4pm.
As you rightly point out Marlon Doncaster was fortunate that by utilising the decommissioned runways of RAF Finningley, it was ideally placed to have the new Doncaster Sheffield Airport there. Doncaster has a link to Military aviation going back years. The pub I used to drink in is called " The Flarepath" because it was in line with the landing path for the aircraft using the nearby RAF base at Lindholme during WW2 . The whole campus has been re-vamped and is now of course the site for one of her Majesty's Prisons -HMP Hatfield.
Cheers for that DR . I wasn’t getting drawn into the Donnys Better than Barnsley argument but just wanted to point out it’s a regional effort for the airport .
