I'll tell you what Marlon, the best parts of Doncaster are the outlying rural village areas. My wife and I use Barnsley's shops and Market and get out in the week to places like Cannon Hall Park and Garden Centre. The surrounding areas in Barnsley are in my view better than those in Donny. The centres of both Towns are about on a par, and both could do with some serious investment.
The west of Barnsley in particular is largely untouched with loads of farmland incorporated into the Peak District . Some of the towns :villages under the Donny: Barnsley area are in desperate need of investment Mexborough,Goldthorpe, Edlington etc etc . This is shame on authorities imo rather than the majority of residents who are mostly law abiding and moral citizens. Communities pulling together is the heartbeat but our Towns are still reeling under the kicking of taking away our main industries that were the fabric and bound us together .
How embarrassing. The moment we fear Doncaster Rovers is the day to dissolve the club. So in answer to your question, definitely not. I am however looking forward to spanking them silly live for the nation to view in a couple of weeks.
