Well we have the one who posted the original "fractured skull" info who was horrified that he'd been given fake news and posted as such, and another one who rapidly backtracked on his corroboration of the said backtracker, and went on about what was only suspected. Neither have continued to stick to their original "fractured skull" guns, or come up with anything from their people in the know to validate their original assertion. And nobody from the club has suggested he has such a fracture. Meanwhile, he's apparently back training - of sorts - within 2 or 3 days. And the staff are sticking to the 2 week protocol story as the necessary recovery time.
I haven't heard anything from anyone that would make me question the original post. It was deemed incorrect on here due to a lack of understanding of how such an injury is treated and how long someone who suffers such an injury is kept in hospital. Even by the user who made the post. There has been no announcement of what the injury was just the usual two weeks we got with Woodrow. It all seems very cagey and I believe if he was OK we would have been told he is OK. The original poster hasn't been baxk to say he was wrong he just assumed he was because Moore was released from hospital, not knowing that would be usual practice if it was a simple fracture.
Tonge said this. Dale Tonge confirms Kieffer Moore will miss Saturday’s clash at Portsmouth as well as tomorrow’s game with Burton. FA protocol on head injuries means he can’t return any sooner. It may not tell the whole story but it sounds to me like it is only FA protocol, not longer term injury, keeping him out beyond Saturday.
Well the fact that the original poster disowned his post - that might make me think that I'd heard something to question it. If I was the original poster I might have asked my source for a favourable update to save my face. So I could post it on here. I have assumed that the original posts that evening were by posters that you do not know, telling us all about something that someone else had said to them, about something that at best some medical chap had passed on to them. There were probably more in the chain. Anyway on the other side we have the club, who may not even be aware of rumours on here. What is their motive for keeping a fractured skull quiet? Do we need Dale Tonge or Daniel Stendel to specifically state Moore has no fractured skull? Perhaps Whitey can tell us.
If we take it on face value they have - Tonge was speaking on behalf of the club. I might be completely wrong, just saying it as it comes across in the press conference.
You don't strike me as a naive person. The club has always been coy about the availability of players, as it leaves the opposition guessing who's going to be involved. This has worked either way in the past.
I hope I’m not, but the club aren’t giving out any news to the contrary. Just leaving us all to debate & disagree.
I get that. But I cannot believe that anyone has not asked what Moore's actual injury is, if anything, beyond concussion.
I just asked myself a few questions ... Do I think he just made it up? No I don't. Therefore, I think someone told him. He's posted stuff about the club before that has turned out to be correct so I think he probably knows someone at the club. Do I think they made it up? Again no. Could it have been told in good faith but the original messenger was mistaken? More likely, but I'd still go with no. Did the original poster say he was definitively wrong due to being corrected by his mate or just think he was due to Moore leaving hospital. He just thought he was. I can think of a couple of reasons why he wouldn't have been back to confirm or deny. He's been asked not to by his friend as the club want to keep the injury quiet, or, after the abuse he got he just thinks bugger that. Why would the club want to keep such an injury under wraps? I don't know the answer to that but then I don't know why they've been so tight lipped on the whole saga, they've barely said a word about our top scorer who, the last time we saw him, was in a crumpled heap clearly in distress and we were all very worried. They haven't said anything to ease those worries. It's all supposition, but so is yours.. The answers I've given to the questions I've asked seem reasonable to me. To reach a different conclusion I'd have to answer in a way that simply doesn't ring true to how most people behave Doesn't mean I'm right, it just seems more reasonable.
