And there’s your two yards offside winner to cap it off. Totally bent ********.

Agreed totally bias towards the prem team if every team had VAR then Man City would be out of the FA cup

3-2 to the referee. Penalty a joke offside winner. Swansea have been well and truly robbed in favour of the big team

    Conspiracy alert:

I honestly think it's bent, purely because it would make sense from a financial point of view and as we all know money is king. The football authorities are selling a product, and they need that product to be as lucrative and attractive as possible. They make far more money from armchair fans than they do matchday fans, and armchair fans typically follow the big clubs. Therefore they need the big clubs to win as much as possible to increase their profile further/keep it high, keep them talked about etc etc.

And which potential semi-final is more lucrative to BT? Man City vs Man Utd or Swansea vs Wolves? More profitable broadcasters means higher rights bids.

Obviously I have no proper evidence, just that I know most filthy rich people don't get that way through displays of endless integrity.

I don’t understand how some games have been trialling VAR in some games but not others. Again it’s an unfair advantage to some teams and not others.

Is it because it’s not at a premier league teams ground?

They shouldn’t have had a pen or the winner given if VAR had been in place today.

Yes. But you can assume that Moneycheatster City would've got the VAR decisions, anyway. It's far from infallible, and the cabal of dodgy officials would see/unsee things as required.

The offside you can forgive but the penalty was truly awful, the ref didn't have a good view at all and refused to consult the assistant.

Sterling didn't dive, but it shouldn't have been a penalty. He went down under a fair challenge where contact was made with him and he didn't turn around and plead with the ref to give it.

It's easy to have conspiracy theories with Sterling, not helped by the press who have seen him as a greedy ******* ever since he left Liverpool to win trophies and got more money for the privilege.

Aguero was offside so that goal shouldn't have stood either. However it wasn't by much and I have seen worse goals given that have been offside.

It doesn't matter how much it was, offside is offside. Cauley wasn't against Sunderland btw.

Because it was at a premier league teams ground. It’s daft.

Didn't we have a game where goal-line technology should have been used but wasn't as the lights weren't up to it?
