Change the name of McGeady for Hammill

    ...... and that’s the little bit of extra talent Sunderland have kept at the club - and Barnsley have allowed to leave.
    That bit of extra talent that is very likely to make all the difference come the end of the season.

    And Hammills departure and the sale of Potts is something to consider for the future direction of the club.
    Are players going to be allowed to leave in the future when they get to a certain age?
    If they are - then progress of the club will be handicapped.

    Hammill has done **** all since he left. Can't get a start at scunny.

    Have we lost a game since Potts left? I don't think we have.

    Plus I bet Sunderland would offload McGeady in a heartbeat if someone would pay his reported 31k a week third tier wages!!!!

    We are 2nd and on a 20 match unbeaten run. Have I stumbled onto a version of the bbs that’s in an alternate universe and we are actually mid-table and losing every other week?

    Is this a wind up? Mcgeady is on about 35k a week is in the league one team of the season and probley imo the best wingers in the league.
    Hammill has done very little since 2016 and hasn't pulled any trees up at scunny. Club legend but I don't think I'd want him back.

    You clearly don’t go to the matches - so I’ll explain.
    On a number of occasions we have drawn quite a few games and struggled to put teams to bed - when a bit of extra talent in the form of a McGeady or Hammill would have made all the difference.

    Don’t want to get into the AH debate again but McGeady is the stand out player in this Division. To be honest I think he’s all Sunderland have got. Not impressed with anyone else in that Squad.

    Sunderland drew today and lost on pens. Also they have dawn loads of games. If anything McGeady helped them pinch draws.

    Well that is partly what I’m saying.
    Add that bit extra talent amongst the power and speed we have and that would have made the difference when we needed it.

    Yes, it’s been a real struggle.

    22 wins, 13 draws and 5 defeats. A +37 goal difference. A 20 game unbeaten run. Unbeaten at home all season. Equalled a club record for clean sheets. On course to at least equal a club record for longest unbeaten run. At worst a playoff place. Potential to gain an immediate promotion following relegation for the first time in our history. Despite a succession of blows over the season with people departing across the whole club.

    What a struggle it’s been.

    I need to attend more matches.
