Really augurs well for a wasp free summer and autumn. Hate the little twots, my wife screams and runs off when she sees one. Had a surfeit of hornets last year.
Someone told me that if you kill a wasp it release chemicals which attracts other wasps - not sure how true this is!
Found 2 massive dopey ones on landing carpet the other night. No idea where they came from. Hopefully no nest!
Wasps. I hate wasps. At least we haven't got these ******** in here: (I apologise in advance for any nightmares that this might cause) Poor little bees.
had a few in our Orangery the other day... they looked as if they were about to begin a nest build... I totally removed their planning permission.
I dont mind them. Wasps generally only sting if they feel threatened, so panicking and flapping your arms about - while understandable - just increases the risk. Best to let them go about their business, especially after summer when they're short of food and a tad grumpy.
